Obvious+21Sure they enjoy it more. But can they graduate in 8 semesters (4 years) with a 3.0 average without screwing a professor and/or buying their term papers?

I probably would have done better in college if I'd studied more and partied less. That being said, I had untreated bipolar disorder and was looking for something to ease the pain and free floating anxiety that I constantly felt. I was also raped by an acquaintance while I was in college, so I was looking for something to ease the pain and terror I felt after that incident. Drug/alcohol use and mental illness often go hand in hand. It isn't always a red flag, but it is more often than people think.
My son, on the other hand, after his first semester of college, deliberately chose schools that weren't "party" schools because he doesn't want partying to get in the way of learning. I think that he will do much better in school than I did (Or than most of the partiers do) because he is there to learn, not to booze it up.
Can they remember enough to know if they had a good time?
