Does this seem to be a common phrase of yours: "Where are my keys?" Well, a new iOS keychain tracker and app hopes to solve the problem that many of us know far too well. The project was started by two individuals, specially targeting the iPad 3 and iPhone 4S. Here's how it works:The Hone keychain device is triggered through the Hone iPhone app and Bluetooth 4.0 technology. The keychain vibrates, beeps and lights up, and a built-in proximity sensor on the app lets you know how close you are to your keys, as long as your keychain is within 150 feet of your iPhone or iPad. Because of Bluetooth's low power needs, the keychain can go up to six months between charges.

oops I hit the yes when I meant the no. I have the ultimate Key chain app. My keys are attached to a chain which is attached to me and goes everywhere I go. In the unlikely event that I do lock the keys in my vehicle, I have a spare key in my change purse. I think my key chain app works really well and is almost foolproof, it certainly does not require that I carry any electronic devices with me to find or track my keys. Nothing is totally foolproof.

Yes, when I put my keys in the wrong pocket, I just grab the end of the chain and follow it to where they are. It is impossible to leave the car without them because I am still attached to them. Real simple no electronics to keep track of, just a simple very small, but just long enough chain. If you do not want to carry them in a pocket I sometimes attach them to the small bag (a girl might call it a purse) that I always have with me which I carry on my shoulder. I believe in the KISS method, that is Keep It Simple Stupid.

Lol--->kiss method. but what will happen if you are in a rush to leave your car and the chain gets caught in the door with your keys inside

Simple, been there done that. The chain, as I said, is just long enough to get to the ignition switch and not be in the way. It is not long enough to let me leave the car without it, and certainly not long enough to get out and close the door. Something like trying to leave your car when you are still held in with your seat belt, you cannot do it. It works every time, and if somehow I did, I have a spare key in my change purse that is always in my pocket, which I have never had to use. I have certainly tried to leave in a hurry only to have the chain remind me to take the key. It does help that all modern cars have a chime that goes off when the door is open with the key in the ignition when the engine is not running

No, I know where they are (pretty much) all the time. However, if I'm carrying a purse AND wearing a tool-belt, along with pants or jacket pockets, sometimes I have to dig around a bit. All except maybe one of my handbags have Too Many Pockets. I'm happiest about where to put my keys when I have jeans on that have a back pocket.

Now, if I could attach that key-fob to my lipgloss and set it to "ear-shattering" volume, I'd never lose that...lol. It's usually upstairs or downstairs, opposite of where I am. I notice they haven't made them for Android yet, though :-(

I've had two exchange students who constantly misplaced or forgot their keys. If my wife and I were out, they came in through the dog door with our German Shepherd licking them.
