First Katy Perry, and now Kelly Osbourne! Just a week after Katy Perry dyed her hair purple, Kelly Osbourne has done the same, stepping out in California with bright lilac locks, The Daily Mail reports.

We have to say, it's a major step up from the washed-out grey locks that Kelly was sporting for a while. Before the dye job, Osbourne posted a photo of purple dye to her Twitter and Instagram pages with the caption, "This is the color my hair is about to be!"

A follower warned Kelly that her hair was going to fall out due to her dye habit, but Kelly gamely retorted: "i wish some of it would! i have so much hair it takes over an hour just to apply the dye!" So ... do you think the purple shade is flattering on Kelly Osbourne? Or is it at least better than the grey?

I don't know. They look about the same. One being gray, another being purple. It's just a colour. It's not like plastic surgery or anything drastic.

I think she is trying to at least make it look like there isn't a huge age gap on the Fashion Police. The purple hair makes her look like a racy granny which is fitting when your co-host looks like Skeletor in drag.

I saw a picture of Kelly Osbourne with Joan Rivers and the theme song from the Golden Girls just popped into my head.

I think dying your hair to bright red, purple, or blue is just tacky. For God sake's, if God wanted people with purple hair, he would have done so! Just keep your original color. I understand if you dye your hair blonde to brown or something like that, but to blue, bright red, or purple? Someone is looking for attention...

I think it is fabulous, and she pulls it off wonderfully. So why not....I also liked the gray with the purple-ish tint. If I could pull them off and it was ok with my employer I would rock it too.

She has always run counter to society's expectation. It is the style of the young Hollywood type so this is so a propos. It is her hair, her lifestyle, her life, she can do what she wants with it as long as she is not proselytizing that all young people must do what she does.
