Yep....its a problem. Even when I know I look good, I feel fat and want to lose 20 pounds. Of course seeing obese people makes me want to lose weight even more.

I completely understand how you feel.
I'm still fat and, whenever I step on the scale, I see I've lost weight, but it's never enough since it's still a high number (170... better than it was though, over 350). My goal is 110, but I don't honestly know if I'll feel satisfied even then. I've grown obsessed with shrinking.

Me too...but I discovered something that has helped. But I want to say congratulations!!!!!! Big hug!!. See you did it...people should be inspired by you. Anyway, I set mini goals for myself. Usually about a pound at a time. Sometimes it has to be a pound at a time. Right now I've hit a plateau. I'm stuck between 130 and 132. Right this second I weigh 131.4. Its hard.

Mini-goals are a really good idea... and thanks :-)
It sucks when you're stuck at a certain weight and it won't budge that extra bit lower, but I'm sure it will be easier to move now that summer's here!

Well..I lost 4 ounces...just hope I don't gain em back. My problem is my bad feet and legs..but I work on my feet so that helps.

It is my natural body type. If I have extra weight it is because I've been eating an excess of sweets. Right now the medication I take increases my hunger- I've been trying to fight it though.

I always have wanted to be skinny, and I'm starting to now. Yeah, I admit I would have wanted to do it another way other than anorexia, but no going back now.

I think I sometimes embrace anorexic behaviour, which I know isn't healthy, but it's appealing, for some weird reason... it feels good to shrink.
Be as thin as you want, but stay healthy. :-)

I've never felt the need to be stick thin, but I am weary of one day just losing myself and suddenly become obese. That's the one thing I fear! That's why I try to stay at least average weight.

I've never really been stick thin anyways, I've always been on the chubbier-ish side (not fat, just chubby, attractively thought) and I've always been happy with it because I like the way I look quite honestly.

Anorexia is still a struggle for me, though I have been eating healthy lately. My family now keeps tabs on my weight although it makes me uncomfortable that they do.

Jealous women will call skinny women "anorexic", and it's kind of like...So?...Do you want this? Take it! In about 30% of cases it's part of OCD, and people need a better understanding of these eating disorders instead of criticizing women's figures and thinking it will put them in their place or something. Newsflash: you're not a psychologist.

No one should feel the need to be super skinny, but some do.

Adding onto that, some times the person can also be suffering from delusion. They may be skinnier than a tooth pick but in their eyes, they could look like an elephant. It's something that people need to be made aware of. It's commonly found to occur in people who are obsessed with their weight.

I WAS stick thin until 4 years or so ago when I went thru MAJOR depression. i am still fighting to lose back down to stick sized.

!40 feels like 5 tons when I was 115ish most of my adult life. I feel like a beached whale. i HATE my current weight and feel gigantic. At 5'8" I don't look fat but I FEEL huge.

    I'm a guy - - but I was born a super skinny guy - - and I hated it! When I graduated from HS, I was 5'8" x 112lbs...

You don't strive to be skinny :: when you already are.

But I feel the pressure from myself to be healthy and in the right weight category for my height and age. Working on it, one day at a time! But while I'm working on it I'm not focused on how other people look or perceive me! motavation

Meant to click no. Not "stick thin" but skinnier, yes, absolutely. I think everyone has at some point in their lives, at least for a moment, harbored a secret desire to be thinner, excluding those who are naturally thin, and maybe even some of them, for all I know! I just know that I have.
