Kate Walsh Poses Naked for Shape at 44: Sexy, or 'Midlife Crisis'?

Actress Kate Walsh is best known for her ABC show "Private Practice," but she leaves very little private on the new cover of Shape magazine. The 44-year-old star poses completely nude -- twisting her body to cover up her unmentionables -- and Kate Walsh says it was all her idea!

"I was terrified, but I really wanted to do a naked cover -- especially with SHAPE, because the magazine is about loving yourself inside and out," Walsh says. According to "Extra," she feels good about the sexy shot. "Right now, I feel really healthy, confident, and sexy," she said, explaining why she took it all off. "I'm enjoying my 40s and wanted to share that. Is it a midlife crisis? I do drive a Porsche, so maybe it is!"

If we looked as good as Kate does -- at any age -- we'd probably go naked, too. And she isn't really revealing THAT much. Do you think Walsh's nude cover is super sexy? Or "midlife crisis" all the way? We think she looks hot ... but please don't make us watch another one of those "Grey's Anatomy"/"Private Practice" crossover episodes!

What the young fail to see, is that one is old for much longer than young, and people who're attractive don't lose their attractiveness at 25!

Check out a babe that's 65 and blows away most 21 year olds! I was sad for a week when I found out the was married.

No, and to tell the truth, I'm not the slightest bit interested in teens, twentys or thirties. A woman isn't even born until she turns forty. I guess it's point of view, and the older I get the older the women are that I find attractive. But I would've appreciated Helen Mirren even if I had been a teen upon encountering her.

Why is it when a 20 something Girl does it men find it sexy, but when a 40+ Woman does the samething its either she is in a midlife crisis or she's crazy... I find women far more attractive than giggly little 20 yr old girls!

Weeellll, it's not like she's really showing everything now is she? To a point I suppose I could agree with you but she's got herself covered while still showing off her stuff. And if she "is" married then her hubby must not have objected too much or she wouldn't have done it.

At 44 a woman is usually at her best, most confident, most beautiful, wisest, most interesting and most independent. I could go on and on. Kate Walsh at 44 for daring to pose nude got the left handed compliment for looking so great at "mid-life", a euphemism for middle age? How about saying that at any age to be so blessed as Miss Walsh with her physical beauty is a great thing so why bothered mentioning her chronological age? As a real middle age woman, I say she looks great naked or clothed.
