Kate Middleton (technically Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge) wore the same pink pleated dress twice in 11 days, repeating the $2,000 Emilia Wickstead frock at a luncheon at Windsor Castle on May 18 and a tea party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. "I've worn it before, as you all probably know," Kate Middleton told reporters on Tuesday.

The Duchess is winning over fashionistas and ordinary folks alike with her pretty yet practical style. Last July, she wore a green Diane von Furstenberg "Maja" dress to the British Consul-General's residence in Los Angeles, The New York Daily News reports. She repeated the same dress at Zara Phillips' pre-wedding party two weeks later. How often do you repeat outfits?

At least she is getting some wear out of the dress. Most royals wear an outfit once and never again, after paying large amounts of money for them. That is a flagrant waste of money in my opinion.

I know. It's *so* annoying; nice to be losing weight, but I like clothing that's a good fit, not too big...ugh. And my closet is already overflowing because I don't get rid of clothing easy...

I don't have many jeans so I wear the same pair for two days. And change the rest of the outfit. I love the outfits I put together, I wear them once or twice a week but never two days in a row.

Many of the clothes from the royals are put up for auction to raise money for their charities. Sometime they sell for more than the original price. Helps keep the money circulating.
What I want to know is where she finds so many dresses with sleeves in them. As good as Michelle Obama looks without sleeves most of us at a certain age to not but just try to find a decent dress with sleeves unless you want to look the part of grand mama.

Im not a billionare, but I do recycle the same outfits about once a month. And First Lady Obama does not pay for her clothing, thats how designers get their promotion.

I think it is great for a woman (Kate) at her status to wear the same thing often. If the outfit suit her well..so why not?.

I mix-match and rotate my outfits...only billionairs never repeat their outfits.

No...I agree, it isn't. BUT, she could have spent $10,000 on it, worn it only once, then tossed it. Given that, she still gets my vote.

What I mean is Jeans (i don't wear outfits). I wear a shirt and mostly its going in the wash unless its a polo because i wear a tshirt under it. I change my socks probably 3 time a day and i wear a pair of jeans until they are dirty but don't get me wrong i switch up. I may wear a pair of jeans 3 days straight though but its not like I'm going commando so who cares. hey does anybody else think she looks like nikki reed (kate middleton, not the baby)

oh yeah nikki reed looks totally different as rosalie. so much light makeup and the blonde hair. first time i ever saw a picture of kate though i was like like "wow, he married nikki reed" lol

I didn't know which category to pick--if something has been laundered and is clean again I may well wear it again the same week, though I never stopped to count or even think about it. (Tim Gunn, turn your head!) I really don't care about fashion--in fact without the headline I would have NEVER noticed she wore anything twice--but it is nice to see someone in her position not be this egotistical clothes-horse who would never be caught dead wearing the same thing twice. Nice to see that she isn't arrogantly wasteful.

I don't dress in outfits. I put on whatever combination of my clothes appeals to me that day and it might be a unique combination I have never thought of before or a tried and true favourite. I don't have a corporate career or a public sort of profession where anybody is going to care what I am wearing. I go for clean and an expression of my mood and personality.

This is very superficial to worry about what type of outfit Kate is wearing. Please report on something that is real and important. Some child just died of starvation in some part of the world. The minute you are reading this, some drunk driver just ran over someone. Somewhere in this country, there is an elderly person sitting in a nursing home feeling lonely. How about reporting on that.

You do realize that neither she nor the government pay for her outfits? It's been a longstanding tradition for first ladies to be lent clothing by designers; the first lady gets nice, clothes and the designers get free advertising.
