She's a practical princess. Kate Middleton (technically Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge) wore the same pink pleated dress twice in 11 days, repeating the $2,000 Emilia Wickstead frock at a luncheon at Windsor Castle on May 18 and a tea party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. "I've worn it before, as you all probably know," Kate Middleton told reporters on Tuesday.

The Duchess is winning over fashionistas and ordinary folks alike with her pretty yet practical style. Last July, she wore a green Diane von Furstenberg "Maja" dress to the British Consul-General's residence in Los Angeles, The New York Daily News reports. She repeated the same dress at Zara Phillips' pre-wedding party two weeks later. How often do you repeat outfits?

At least she is getting some wear out of the dress. Most royals wear an outfit once and never again, after paying large amounts of money for them. That is a flagrant waste of money in my opinion.

Im not saying i dont repeat peices, thats wasteful..just i try to be creative with the matching of pants skirts and tops..so different looks woth the same peices

I dont have to wear scrubs or a uniform anymore.... jeans and a shirt are my norm now...Good for Kate, shows she is thrifty

for practical reasons ..
Wear during the day .. wash the clothes at night (every 2-3 days) then go back through and match things up again ..
there's absolutely no reason to NOT re-wear something after it is cleaned ..
who can afford multiple outfits anyways?

That's not a strict rule, and it doesn't include pajamas, but when I am at school, I try to give my outfits some variation.

Exactly the same thing? Well, I'm trying to minimize both my style and my wardrobe. I once wore my favorite shirt three times. I usually switch up my earrings or necklace if I wear an article often. I like the idea of having a 'basic uniform'. I am the type to buy the same shirt in different colors or even the same colors.

When you have clothing that you love you'll definitely want to wear it often!

Oh goodness gracious fancy that. Poor darling had to wear the same dress. Trust the fashion police to notice eh? She is very pretty without being a glamour girl. No matter how much money her family had to put her in the same school with the prince those looks were the other part of the equation. Some people have all the luck. Money, looks, love, and a secure future. No revolutions in England.

Since I am a stay at mom I just wear jeans or sweat pants around the house. I will wear a nice pair of slacks and a good shirt to church on Sundays.

Also, Kate and any other celebrity or royal is allowed to act like a normal person. It's not so extraordinary an occurrence that it needs to be taken into note.
