Kate Middleton may be compromising her status as a burgeoning fashion icon -- she's been caught repeating one of Kim Kardashian's outfits! The Duchess of Cambridge wore a red, knee-length Alexander McQueen dress for Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee pageant on Sunday -- but Kim Kardashian wore the same $1,800 dress last April.

However, the two ladies wore the dresses very differently. Middleton wore a long-sleeved, knee-length version, reportedly tailored just for her by McQueen designer Sarah Burton. She accessorized with a silver dolphin pin, nude pumps, a red and gold clutch and matching red hat.

Kardashian wore a red-hot, sleeveless version of the dress, and accessorized with snakeskin platform heels and a chunky silver necklace. Kim's skirt was also much shorter (no shocker there). So, who do you think wore it better: Kate Middleton or Kim Kardashian?

This dress looks out of place on Kardashian--way too short, and not a style she should choose for her sort hippy stature-- and I'm wondering if this is her idea of cleaning up her image.

Kim looks so pretty in the dress and dosent look trashy AT ALL...Even though shes an untalented fame whore i think ppl are voting against her b/c they hate her personality. I think Kim is so much prettier than Kate, but thats my opinion

I voted against here cause that dress looks terrible on her...it does not fit her personality or her body. I've seen Kim looking great but this is not one of those times.

Im sorry but i just think kate looks frumpy in that dress. My grandma looks like she would wear this on her friends birthday at the nursing home. I think she "has to dress that way because the queen wouldn't approve" or some sh** like that. But what do i know..

Kim's dress looks frumpy but Kates sleeves aren't that great of a fit. The fit at the torso shows Kates body better. The red kind of makes Kim's boobs look weird and washes her out. Besides pleated skirts that rise above the knee aren't eye appealing to me. the necklace is not really the same style either.

It is the same. The same pleats at the bottom, the same "n" shape where the top and skirt part of the dress meet, and yes the exact same colour. The article explains what Kate did to alter it (long sleeves, etc)

HRH Kate has class so naturally everything looks better and is more well received when she wears it.
kardashian has dragged herself through the mud all on her own...so every time I hear her name it is followed by an image of a green Mr. Yuck sticker.
