There are a couple of ways to create jobs. I think the first one is an infusion of money from the Federal Government for re-building our infrastructure. We have so many roads, tunnels and bridges that are in urgent need of repair it would put a lot of people to work. When I drive through the tunnel into Boston I'm always looking to see if any ventilation apparatus is falling down or watching for falling light fixtures. Someone will be killed if these things are fixed. Remember the bridge in Minnesota that just collapsed out of the blue not too long ago.
Then I think that small businesses should get a tax break of some sort for every new employee they hire. That will provide jobs and stimulate their own businesses.
Large corporations should review their executive salary structure and perks and cut them. Use the money they save to hire more people and/or raise the salaries of current workers so they have more to spend in the economy. If you create a demand for products you will not only stimulate spending, you will stimulate hiring to meet the demand. workers

I'd start with having OSHA, and the EPA droping alot of these stupid regulations we have to deal with now. Then I would open up the Artic and off shore oil fields to oil drilling.

A federal tax credit of 50 percent of the salary of every new hire for the first two years of employment for every new manufacturing job. Piad for by how? Eliminating the 10,000 useless federal programs that only remain on the books because of lobbyists... such as the Alpaca program. Don't know what that is? Raising Alpacas. Only reason? Tax deductions. I could go on and on and on.

let the middle class keep more of their money, because they spend it buying widgets, allowing the manufacturer to hire more people to make more widgets.

I'd try relocating manufacturing back to the country, many potential jobs are lost with outsourcing.
Of course, this mostly creates low level menial jobs people don't want, but it's better than nothing.

Heh, I never thought about the logistics. Probably by making importig less desirable, or more expensive.
I can't think of specifics 'cause I'm not that clever, but probably something to do with taxes.
