It's true that many women yearn for the days of their youth, and many companies capitalize on this desire by creating products that make you look and feel younger. I don't know about you, but for me "younger" evokes more of the post-puberty than pre-puberty years, but there must be some ladies out there wishing they still looked young enough to be playing in the sandbox...right?

Jil Sander must think so, because she designed a new purse that resembles a brown paper bag... and priced it at $290. I kinda think she missed the memo, but what about you? Do you think this upscale brown bag is wonderful -- or a total waste?

really? I don't know which is more pathetic.
The fact there are some schmucks out there that will actually buy this, or the fact that I can get the same thing for maybe a $1....with handles!

Like so many over-priced clothes and accessories this bag is butt ugly. I'd consider sporting it if I was PAID $290.

I just bought this backpack for $40 and it is infinitely cuter.

Call it Artsey Fartsey and it becomes worth $300 as a designer bag. Give me a break. Another great rip off of nothing equals nothing. There will be some hair brained 1%ers that have to have it so they can talk about it at the next cocktail hour.

I'll admit it's kind of cool looking -- I'd pay $10 for it, tops. It looks like something I'd take to the beach or keep around as a re-useable grocery bag. As a fashion statement? I was unaware that the "just shopped for dinner" look was in this year.

Unbelievably pointless. The societal idea factory is running dangerously low to stoop to this. It doesn't matter if you can buy this, you shouldn't. If I was a billionaire I would not pay $300 for a coated paper bag with a logo on it. Beyond dumb.

Did you think of it? Sometimes the most ingenious ideas are the ones that are obvious but no one ever thinks of them, just because we don't see value in this particular one doesn't mean it isn't creative or unique.

And the the designer said, "Hey lets take that existing aesthetic and use it in a purse". Sometimes it works other times it doesn't, but they're still thinking creatively.

If I want to carry around a brown paper bag... I'll use an actual brown paper bag. It's much more classy. Also, I don't think the person who wrote for the website know how to reference Mean Girls properly.
