Modern Family's recently engaged Jesse Tyler Ferguson is designing a bow tie collection with his fiance, Justin Mikita -- and they're calling the line "Tie the Knot." They plan on donating all the proceeds to gay rights charities and hope that someday their marriage will be accepted everywhere heterosexual marriage is. The bow ties will be available in November, but what do you think of bow ties in general? Are they fancy or... kinda fugly?

BLOG.ZAP2IT.COM reports:
Jesse Tyler Ferguson is ready to tie the knot! He proposed to longtime boyfriend Justin Mikita, who accepted. But since gay marriage isn’t legal yet, the couple has started a new line of bow ties called Tie the Knot, and will donate the proceeds to gay rights charities.

Ugly. But most that wear bowties are gay, so it makes sense. How sweet. How delightful. How disgusting.

I am I me NO XEROXED COPY As much as you want to support a local business, it must provide value to earn the business. Business is not a charity. With that said, if the local business approximates what you could get elsewhere, it can be a worthwhile gesture to do so. We are launching our own business which is focused on empowering consumers to create deals and join others in purchasing groups so they can get more attractive prices on products that they can do on their own while enabling merchants to earn large groups of consumers in a single transaction. I will do my best to help others but not for politics I will help only for social work IF MANY think in this manner we would be better off in all respect I thank you Firozali A.Mulla DBA

Well it depends on your build really. I've got a 48 inch chest (papa's been liftin') and I'm just not convinced that a tiny bow tie would look right with broad shoulders and chest. I could be wrong though. Of course I'm referring to wearing a bow tie in any other situation outside of a tux.

Bowties may be cute for nerdy teachers, preachers & lawyers, but ties are not & never have been sexy, comfortable or practical. They're old fashioned & remind me old days of suspenders, hats & gloves that were worn to cover yourself. I prefer no tie at all. Show the neckline! It's sexier & not restraining.

Some of the skinny 60's ones are ugly, but the big ones are kinda cute. And the girl ties that were popular in the 80's were great.
