Jay-Z Says Blue Ivy Will Probably Be the Most 'Spoiled Little Kid Ever': Agree or Disagree?

Beyonce may have something to say about this ... Jay-Z has gone on record saying his infant daughter Blue Ivy is going to be terribly spoiled.

"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that," the rapper says on "Oprah's Master Class: Special Edition." He continues, "Then at the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever."

Hmm ... while Blue was certainly lucky to be born to wealthy, incredibly successful parents, mom Beyonce seems so down to earth that we have a feeling her daughter will turn out just fine. Plus, we have to cut Jay-Z some slack: it seems like he's just trying to have a sense of humor about himself and his famous family.

"Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their [kids are] teenagers. [They say], 'Get away from me, Dad. You're embarrassing me,'" he says in the clip. Do you think Blue Ivy will turn out to be a spoiled brat? Or nice like her mom?

i mean im not saying spoiled brat. but spoiled... probably. having two major stars as her parents, she will deffinitely get everything she needs. and probably most if not all of what she wants.
  • smitty 2012/05/07 20:09:28
    My kids are.

They are also spoiled by me not by 1 of 500 nannies.

Her career will probably be started for her before she's 2. And she'll probably have a personal stylist by the time she's 10. Maybe she'll even have a personal trainer at age 5. It's ridiculous how much some celebrities spoil their children just because they can. Retarded even.

Hopefully she won't be dead from drug over dose by 15.

Haha her career already started hasn't it? Wasnt she crying in one of jay z's songs? Oh dear. I agree with some of yours but if you have worked hard to get that amount of money in your bank why should she be sitting in the corner with rags on and a Walkman? It's only right to spend some of your money on your children! Personally I think it's the morals that counts. If she doesn't get everything she wants at a click of a finger and is taught to appreciate she could turn out well! But all those personal trainers/stylist etc before she's even 10, that wouldn't surprise me and I hope they are better parents than that but...

With all the money Beyonce and JayZ have, anyone would be spoiled! They can adopt me anytime! lol

Just because both of the parents are rich doesnt mean they will be spending large amounts on their child . Thats only if they do SPOIL her that will be their fault.

"Just because both of the parents are rich doesnt mean they will be spending large amounts on their child" yes it does.
  • Confide... jackie 2012/05/08 19:34:01
No actually it DOESNT , because they have OTHER responsibilities , including their child.

Let me guess, you think they are going to shop at the thrift store? They have money. Anything they see cute is going to her (and they have expensive taste). Its very naive to say celebrities dont spend large amount of money on their child. In a matter of fact b and j spent millions. the babies crib cost more than my whole entire wardrobe, furniture, shoes, electronics. Basically every single thing I have in my place.

Mistake. No thumbs up...Her name sounds like most kids of celebrities, strange....But, by NO MEANS cheap.....Not like Tripp, which is TRULY strange and it not EVEN a celebrity kids name..... a long with all those other REALLY strange names....
  • keliffa 2012/05/07 18:17:00
I think the parents would know best.

Well, if her father already intends on spoiling her...and they certainly have the means to do it. I just feel sorry for Blue Ivy. I'm afraid she's going to live in a sort of artificial relationship with her parents where their affection is measured in gifts and she spends more time and is more intimate with her nannies than she is with her busy millionaire parents. Sure, money is great, but it can NEVER replace the love of a parent.

I'm not certain at all. Just speculation of the future I'm guessing she's going to live.

Well, I feel sorry for any kid who's only real connection to their parents is being given gifts without having an emotionally strong relationship. I was thinking of a friend of mine when I wrote my original post: she's very distant from her father. The only thing that ties them together is the fact that he will send her a gift every now and then for her birthday or Christmas. She's confided in me how empty it makes her feel sometimes, admitting she'd trade any of those gifts for a decent conversation or a genuine hug...I don't wish that on any child. :/

Wealthy parents should strive to insure that their kids know about and have sympathy for those who are struggling in life. Otherwise they turn out to be entitled monsters like the Hilton and Kardashian brats.

Heck, I spoil my dog, but spoiling does not mean that she will be raised without a good work ethic , good manners, kindness and respect for others. Her parents both work hard and seem to be very family oriented so I think they will do their best to raise her right.
  • Hales 2012/05/07 18:00:58
It's way too early to say; she's still an infant.

But if she does end up a spoiled rotten girl, we all knew it all started when she was born with the infamous "closed-off hospital floor and the angry other new parents".
  • Max7 2012/05/07 17:49:44
They will probably try to do things moderately, but it's hard for a dad not to spoil a precious little girl. Most of us feel that way about our children and grandchildren.
