I had surgery on my head(now watch the liberals make fun of me) and they got me out of there 24 hr. after surgery. I discovered I had a bacterial infection which brought me back in for three more weeks.
Oof... not good at all! Yeah, I can see how you'd be hesitant to put yourself at their mercy after something like that. I sure wish you luck with it, though. Sounds scary.
Yeah, I had two heart procedures and a gallbladder removal-- home the next day. Granted, I was a bit sore after the gallbladder thing, but they give you meds to prevent blood clots and so forth. If you're in decent health overall, it doesn't seem to be a strain.
