Yes, but it's not like it used to be years ago. We always went to my grandparents for Easter dinner and egg hunts. Holidays are much better when you're a kid. Now I have my own child and he is old enough that he doesn't believe in the Easter bunny anymore so it's a lot different. Today we ate dinner at my parents, but usually I have dinner here at home.

Not like we used to, not too many relatives left anymore. Used to be a big family dinner, easter egg hunt, etc.....

I don't celebrate the Christian Easter, but I do celebrate it for the candy, and family time.

    Sometimes. I'm not religious.

But today I met this guy selling magazines, and since both of us didn't have anything better to do, we decided to see a movie for Easter...Two complete strangers, one of us engaged.

Of course, have to have the Chocolate rabbit and Ham dinner and the family get together. Watched the Ten Commandments last night and enjoy the day as it is one for the kids as well as for some with religious connotations.

I celebrate it being spring, but the "Easter bunny" hasn't visited my house in years.
And I've never set foot in a church for a service or whatever, sooo... Nope, I don't celebrate easter sunday.

Nope. I don't care about rabbit-based fertility rites and I don't believe anything about Christerism. This holiday has no significance to me. I am amazed at how off-the-wall crazy some of the JC worshippers' responses. But then, I bet every one of them is a Fox-viewing, Limbaugh-dittoing, rightwing teabagger. I have only one thing to say to them: You are making extraordinary assertions; PROVE THEM.

We can't prove them. That is why we call it 'faith.' I feel very sad for you. In this lifetime, the very best things we can have are faith, hope and love. Remember that.

Don't like Rush or Fox but I do think I'm Taxed Enough Already. Actually, I think it takes a great deal of faith to accept that everything is the result of a cosmic accident utilizing ever existing (without beginning) materials. You probably don't celebrate it, though.

Not to be picky Anna, but Easter technically is not a holiday, it is an observance and our family does observe Easter and we celebrate with a fine family get together dinner.

Went to Mass....prepared the dinner....and now I'm "COMPETING" with THE MASTERS
GOLF Tournament.....a SOCCER MATCH, reruns of BARRETT-JACKSON auction.....etc. etc. etc.
I'd like to buy an ISLAND where I and people with like minds....can go and reflect on
why we celebrate this day....not just at the 8:45 Mass. LOADS of stores are also open today to distract people from the important things.....It's a world that changes everyday!

Anyway you can insult people based on their belief system, right, why do you even bother commenting on a question if all you do is ridicule, I see you as nothing more than a bully that needs to be shown his place but until we meet and I can do that, I will just settle with blocking you.

Sort of. We don't have kids or say Happy Easter or get all excited and get out the ham. No. But we're not some sort of TV watchers all day or lazy family either. Somewhat sedentary, we're glad that it's Easter. My dad and I.

Jesus is no dead Jew !! He is living now at the right hand of the Father. He wants us all to know that He took away our sins, past and present and future by dying on the cross. When He ascended to heaven ,He left the Holy Comforter with us,( The Holy Spirit) He loves each of us, His children, and He only wants us to believe on Him !! I'm here to tell you this gospel news today !
