It's Black Friday: Are You Shopping?

Yes I did and let me tell ya I am tired, I saw the police in one store divining people fighting for just a trampoline... WOW

People are too crazy and too stupid this time of year. Will not shop this weekend if I can help it.

I bought shoes...lots of them.

I kept telling myself "No, no, no, I'm NOT doing it"- then I find myself at Walmart at 6:30 in the morning, buying a Monopoly game for $6.88. Everywhere else was 18 bucks, 20 bucks- and hubby kept saying he wanted to play Monopoly! I can't turn hubby down for that price! It was absolutely amazing that I didn't have to wait in any line, tho- popped right up at an empty register.

No, but my mom and sister did..... they bought a cake mixer for $19.00!

Sure if I didn't max out my credit card XD I'd probably throw too many punches in attempt to get the good sales d= I'm not too good when it comes to these massive sales I tend to get overly competitive and violent

I bought some ground beef, 21 count shrimp and some persimmons.

But just cuz i'm broke but really need new pants...(I now only own some jegging that are too small and take about 10 minutes to put on, some sweat pants that are waaayy to short that i can only wear with boots and some aladdin pants that i cant wear because they are too thin for a canadian winter)

I just got back from a 10 hour shift -- 5 am to 3 pm To clean up the messes and see the chaos that followed -- I DON'T THINK SO!!

Hell no! You have any idea how vicious and nasty people get during Black Friday? I could go on a whole rant but I think this picture pretty much sums it up.

My mom, aunt and I wrecked Macy's, dont bother going, we left NOTHING...!

Online that is...30 years ago did the Black Friday thing...never again...I like Holiday crowds, but not on this day.....

Nope! We absolutely refuse to get caught up in all this commercialism madness and the whole "holiday" concept.

Yes. Christmas shopping is done. We left at midnight and got back around 7 AM.

We did all of our Christmas shopping two weeks ago.

However, I bought my wife an $800 gun safe for $399 this morning at 06:00 in a local hardware store. I arrived at 05:00, was the first person in line waiting for the doors to open at 06:00, casually walked to sporting goods where a sales rep asked me what I was looking for, I told him I was looking for guns safes, he asked if I knew what kind, I showed him the on-line printout of the safe model specs indicating 5 units on hand at that particular store, he wrote my name and the model number on a claim check and told me to take it to a sales clerk.

I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I pick up the 385 pound safe next week.

$401 in savings is well worth an hour and ten minutes of my time.

That's how I feel. My sister got a pea-coat she had been looking at buying (the perfect size, colour, and length); regular price $210, sale price $80. I found a lot of toys my son loves that I haven't even been able to find online for a good price as well. Instead of paying nearly $100 I only spent $48. Two hours in line was worth the savings for us. We saved more in those two hours than the both of us make in two hours combined. Altogether a total savings of over $300 (closer to $350) by time all was said and done.

The more money I'm able to keep in my pocket the better. I can deal with the late night hours as I'm up at that time anyway and crowds don't bother me. Money saved is money saved.

Things were pretty relaxed at the hardware store. You can expect a different class of person at a farm implement or hardware store than at the mall ;)

I order direct from third worlds off the Internet , everyday is black Friday to me because third worlds are so much cheaper .

Yup my daughter and I shopped from midnight to 6 am. We found a 2 caret diamond bracelet regular value of 679 for one 1 hundred bucks! A 70 dollar belt for 17 and everything else was pretty much standard 50% off. Though we did get a few bananna republic sweaters dirt cheap.

Went to Walmart last night at 10 & got some cheap DVDs, but other than that, no.

It was my first Black Friday, & just THAT was too crazy.

No. I personally hate Black Friday, because it just shows us how greedy and materialistic we've become-- you see people literally fighting over stuff they don't need just because they can finally afford it. You run into a lot of crazies in the places you usually shop, if those are popular places, and it's just... it's insane. It's not worth it. You see people acting like dogs going at each others' throats for a bone, and it's frankly disgusting.

So, no. I avoid it like the plague. Thank goodness you only see it in stores like Walmart, Costco, and Kohl's... the only thing I bought to today was a gingerbread cookie from Southern Season. Mmm.

Online only! No way would I have been out there mixing it up with those wild and crazy store shoppers!

Not only are prices cheaper on the Internet, but I don't have to set my alarm for 1:30 in the morning.

I got out at midnight and finished 99% of my Christmas shopping (and got my son's birthday gifts for his birthday in February while I was at it). My sister and I saved over $300 on gifts and a few things we've been looking at getting for ourselves too (a coat, a few cds, other clothes, and some make-up). Found some stuff that I've been looking for online and in store with no luck.

We did spend nearly 2 hours in the check out line at Khol's though. Which was fine with us as we talked the the people in front of us and behind us the entire time and enjoyed the conversation. We didn't run into any crazies.

I long ago stopped listening to the cow bell.

Brainwashing shoppers, "A" Corporation store will Advertise a very low price on 2 or 3 at this low price. One thing it does do is get the greedy people to shop in their store, they will fight for something they do not need, but somebody else may need it, this is where greed of man kicks in and we see a woman pepper spraying other shoppers, fighting, verbal insults, stealing, you name it and its being done!
