But I burn pretty freaking easily! Pale skin and blue eyes doesn't sit well with sitting in the sun.

Well it's hard for me to tell. My skin color doesn't change much, and I have to look closely to tell if I've gotten any darker. By time I care to check, it's usually been a day or two after I've started camping.

If I'm out in the sun for 20 minutes, I'm already burnt. The only possible way for me to get a tan is to either get a fake one or burn myself several times.

Boy am I glad I don't actually want a tan. ^_^

I tan easily, but have stopped tanning altogether over the past 3 years after sitting in the oncologist's office with my mom and looking at other people dying of cancer including skin cancer. I'm fortunate that my skin has very few wrinkles and I sure don't want to spend the rest of my life worrying about skin cancer.

Made my living outside for many years noticed the last few I was starting to get age spots and freckles I hadn't before, that old sun will age you like a raisin if you don't take some care at an early age.

Not sure how he is smiling now. I was out in the yard all day last sat. Came inside and had a nice farmer burn. My 13 year old slapped me and ran.

It was umm painful.

I tan very easily, probably due to a trace of (American) Indian in my ethnic heritage; but because both my parents have had cancer, I stay out of the sun as much as possible.

Also, I think tanning, especially in tanning booths is ridiculously stupid, why would you want to go into a booth to help give you skin cancer and look like a fricking oompa loompa.

No, I'll tan slightly but only enough for those who see me everyday to notice. While I don't tan easily anyway I don't like to sit out in the sun for ages attempting to get one, I don't want to damage my skin and with my skin tone it wouldn't take much. I also don't want to look like my grandmother on my mothers side who looks awfully leathery as a result of her sun worship.
