It seems a disproportionate amount of SH profiles contain a claim that they have obtained advanced academic degrees. Do you buy it?

It seems odd to me as many of these individuals do not talk like educated people.

I think when it comes to online communities like SH we have to consider a few things.
I its online... so of course those who need to build self esteem may need to "flub" their stats, as well writing an opinion in an "emotionally charged" enviorment where personal atacts are common in leiu of civil debate is sometimes enough to turn normally well writen people into stammering fools and finally it is actually two different skill sets writing and speaking and depending on teh type of education someone has they may have developed different strengths. Someone who has an advanced degree in stats may be very good at conveying in writing while a person who has an advanced degree in math may be better at lecture
I am sure there are some but the majority claiming to be conservative Christian I find to be the most unbelievable.
There is a funny person that has their complete resume on their profile. Its full of holes, and now they "claim" to be in management in retail and making $100k+ a year. I noticed they removed it later. Trying wayyyyyy to hard to be important.

It's nice seeing you are back. I remember you from last year. I would see you on different posts many times.
Like "Dr." Kent Hovind and his "doctorate" in "christian education" from the "Patriot Bible University" diploma mill.
Oh, here is a picture of this "university".
Of course if you think about it, considering some of the comments/answers/polls some post on here, you have to wonder "did they buy their degree(s) from a mail order house?
