TheMadChameleon 2012/03/20 18:04:51Yes+4For the super-skinny, skeletal looking ones? Yes, they should have medical proof that they are healthy and it is their natural body type. For those who are thin but obviously healthy, it should not be necessary.

I was very thin (naturally) when I was younger and got bullied badly for it. What sort of message does it send to people if you say "you're too thin to be beautiful"?
I understand that there are health risks involved with thin models, but a better way to develop a healthy attitude to weight is to INCLUDE more plus size models, rather than BAN thin people.
"Thin" gets a lot of bad press these days, which has a terrible effect on the self-esteem of "thin people" and also their body image. A lot of people can't help being thin and, as it goes, thin can be more healthy than being overweight. Obeasity is a huge problem for society, more and more people each day are at risk of serious health problems because they carry too much weight - banning thin models will just contribute to this problem.
(Neither of these are me.)
This was my natural body type when I was about 15:
This my natural body type now (post-puberty.)
