I was watching "Manswers" last night, (don't ask why), and they were showing a segment on how to tell a biological woman from a cross-dresser or even someone with a sex change operation. Well, they said that women's index fingers are longer than their ring fingers, and men's ring fingers are longer. Well, as a fully functional woman with a clearly longer ring finger, I call bullshit.
I read into it a little and it says that it is believed to have to do with the amount of testosterone in the womb during a certain time in gestation... So I guess I am just a really testosterone filled female.

Well, the funny thing is, most of the females have voted that they have longer ring fingers. So I'm left-handed, as are my mom and dad. I'd say I'm a "girly-girl."

I am a heterosexual female, with distinctly longer ring fingers. Furthermore, I consider myself to be very much a 'girlie-girl' (as do others). I've also heard there is a link here with endurance runners. While I was a decent sprinter, I was NOT a good long-distance runner. The connection I don't hear people making is the relationship between testosterone levels and labido, which has nothing to do with sexual preference. That's a study I would like to see.
