I built my computer, it won't be slow for another 5 years, even then I'll just double the ram and it'll b k until I can afford to build a new setup, which isn't hard since building your own PC cost nothing compared to anything else, especially a Mac.
If my mac were to break I'd take it to apple. It has not had any problems so far. I have a pc (work computer) and an apple(for entertainment and web browsing) and it works alright for my family. Plus, people who hate macs always seem to have the inability to afford them...
I could get one if I wanted (I know how to save money), but I assure you I have plenty of experience with Mac, and I can't stand them. However, paying for a Mac is a pure waste of money. It's long, but worth the read, it looks at the subject of Mac, PC, and Linux objectively. If I could afford a Mac, I wouldn't waste the money getting one as I know I could easily build myself a superior system for half the money.
it's pretty simple :). you can read up or watch videos on how to do it step-by-step. if you go on to any forums and say what you're looking for, people will give you a reasonably priced spec PC. failing that, you can go onto some website and get them to create it for you, all you have to do is select the parts you want. it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to a local store and buying one.
