Is World Peace Every Going to be a Possible Goal?

Unless we get in contact with aliens so that we will be forced to unite to fight them...because yeah we would be that stupid...no we won't reach world peace. Even if there were only one country, one culture, one religion in the world...we would still fight over political ideologies.

as world population expands, its only going to get worse

there are too many things in this world that spark controversy. im afraid i dont see it in the near or possible future....we can always try but i dont feel the need to get my hopes up

Once we stop fighting over whose "god" IS GOD, and stop killing to prove it.

I AM educated on world affairs. When people attack other people , or destroy themselves and others yelling "GOD IS GREAT" ...this is not religious? Muslim Iran says: "Israel and the Jews must be destroyed..this is not religious? When there is fighting and death over who owns the "Holy City of Jerusalem"...this is not religious? When "Infidels" are killed and beheaded....this is not religious? When people here on SH (Christians) (?) want to kill all Muslims...this is not religious? No, that's not a war, that's what STARTS hate that STARTS wars. Muslims in Africa are killing Christians (or anyone else they feel like. that's not religious? There are, and always have been, radicals on all three sides, always killing "in gods name". "Educated people" have always seen things differently in order to defend their OWN religion, their OWN "version" of god!

It's already a goal for some. Whether mankind survives himself and/or Nature long enough for it to occur is another question. I'd say the odds are slim.

But, inevitable...IF we survive.

I make no claim to prescience, but I suspect that establishing world peace may be one important aspect of what is needed for our species survives to realize its potential.

True...I just think until the religions (since we can't seem to get rid of them) start a message of universal peace and acceptance...There is no hope. Religious leaders have a farther reach than mere political leaders.

Maybe when judgement day comes... world piece anytime soon or in the distant future on earth?

There will always be a country, a leader, who wants more land and resources. There will always be differences of opinion that lead to conflict.

There's too much diversity and differing of opinions to see it in our lifetime...

As long as there are people, there will be conflict.

Want world peace? Get rid of all but one person. Otherwise it just won't happen.
