Yes, it is. It's still shooting wide of the target. That is what sin really is--or at least, that's what the Greek word (hamartia) that appears in the New Testament means: shooting wide of the mark at target practice.

You have a target to shoot at. God knows you'll never hit the target. It's a mighty narrow bulls-eye. That's why Jesus had to go to His *death* for your sake.

Mortal even. So is producing, distributing, creating it, etc.

2354 Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties. It offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses all who are involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. It is a grave offense. Civil authorities should prevent the production and distribution of pornographic materials.

Is doing large amounts of illicit drugs a sin ? about the same results when, in like proportion, wind up brain dead, I cannot think of a more frustrating waste of time and money my self. of course I think TV and most other "entertainment" media to be something rather less than useful in most instances. I will not pretend to have a hot line to god and not for me know all, but I must judge all by the value and effects for me, we will all face the ultimate value of our views and deportment by ourselves.

What exactly is sin? What is sin to one person is not necessarily sin to another. The Apostle Paul gave a good answer to what is sin. I Corinthians Chapter eight.

When one fills their mind with something that is contrary to the mind of Christ and God the father, it becomes sin. Sin is the trangression of the law. This is how satan becomes stronger than the one watching porn. He has already got hold of that mind...unless the individual stops doing what they're doing. And I'll tell you now, satan will not like it if one decides to quit, he will work on that individual harder because he wants hold of that mind. So, don't fool yourself and think once you quit, you're not going to have a battle on your hands, because you will. But, the good thing is, if you call out to God, he and his son can help you win. If you think you can win alone, you're going to be in for a surprise. But, the first battle is to quit, then, if you want God on your side, the second battle will be to win.

True, as far as it goes. But "porneia," commonly translated "fornication" but better rendered "sexual shenanigans," is still a thing to stay, or even *run*, away from. See 1 Corinthians 6.

There are worse sins than these. But the Christian life is a realization that we can never hit the target exactly. That's why we need a Savior.

To me sin involves doing harm to others. Whether porn creates victims remains open to debate, but then whether it prevents victimization is also open to debate.

Come on sister, you know the pope and the Roman Catholic church are the biggest sinners and hypocrites on the planet. Be honest.

    True story below:

Many years ago a friend of my mother told here the following story. She was catholic, and often brought over goodies to the local Catholic church. One day she rang the doorbell at the back door which opened to a kitchen. No answer, but since she visited often, she found the door open and stepped inside planning to leave what she brought on the kitchen table. Well, to say the least she was a bit shocked to discover there were several nuns totally naked running around the kitchen table laughing being chased by the priest. Was that some secret right, we don't know about?
