I went with yes, but it depends (like so many other things) on how you use it. I think comedy is becoming fouler and dumber than it has ever been resulting in the same traits in people. There are many channels dedicated to learning however that are of great public benefit. I just choose not to watch pointless drivel.
Hollywood producers aim at titillating content for the ADD crowd. The words and content get lost in the pictures.
