It's a sexy dress! What the hell is racist about it? I swear liberals are getting more anal about such pathetically minor things. What's next, is picking a penny up off the street tails-side up going to be racist?

Are you a Geisha? I know the meaning and history of Geisha. In old Asia all of the women did not have sex with the male patrons, but a large majority of them did. It is similar to a call girl. She may not be standing on the corner and some of her clients may only want to see them naked, but it is an industry of paid sex. At the end of the day most of them have sex with the Johns to make money. Geisha, for the most part, is highly decorated and structured prostitution.

Actually, it'd be closer to an escort service, rather than outright prostitution. And more than that, more than being 'highly decorated and structured', it was an art form. Unlike escorts and prostitutes, geisha were not frowned on. They were respected.

Selling sex is selling sex. If you place a rose on a vagina, it is still a vagina. Escorting is prostitution. Whether the parties meet in a Holiday Inn or the Waldorf to exchange sex for money doesn't change the fact that it is prostitution. Geishas were wildly known for sexing the patrons. The Victoria's Secret picture accurately associated Geisha with sex.

Got to say, at some point people who are in asia will either laugh or love.

This is yet another example of people taking things too far. This is nothing but a cute little outfit to entice your partner with. That is all it is. We need to stop becoming offended at every little thing like we are starting to become. We are becoming, as a human race, too sensitive to everything. And I am starting to wonder how much of it is because somebody has to be saying something about something and causing a huge ruckus over something that is not important in the entire scheme of things. After all there have always been little outfits modeled after things and people and time periods. If this was meant to be offensive then I would be totally against this, but this was nothing but a cute outfit to wear. But like I said earlier I believe people are becoming too sensitive and looking at things too hard and trying to see the racism. I swear every which way we turn nowadays something is going to be considered racist.

Get rid of that thing in the WH, and a lot of this racist crap will stop. Go back to when people lived NORMAL lives and had at least half a brain and it will stop. Victoria's are fools for pulling it. They should have just told whoever to GET OVER IT.

I completely agree with you. They should never have pulled it at all. I am tired of people bowing down and simply taking things. We need to start standing up and saying this isn't wrong and yes you have a right to your opinion but I have a right to sell what I want. If you don't like it then just don't shop there. Simple as that. But it isn't just the president of the moment this has been going on for quite some time. Or at least where I live every time you turn around something is racist. And the issue isn't just racism, the issue is on everything. Everybody is claiming my rights, my rights while trampling on everybody else's rights. There's no respect any more for other people on the planet. Instead of working together we are fighting because different people think they deserve more or they are better. The entire thing is completely ridiculous.

I completely agree with you. We are trying to make everybody happy which is impossible. I would understand being upset if they were butchering the history of the geisha but they weren't. They were simply giving a cute little outfit a name. That was it. There are way more important things out there to worry about. Its sad what we focus on and what we don't focus on. It is completely scary.
