Not liking blacks in no way makes him racist.

They only make it seem racist because a white man said he disliked black people. if a black man said he disliked white people it would be ignorred by the public. The objective to try to bring this situation up in the first place is what is racist. This question in and of itself is what is creating racist views.

In your example, the man is expressing his bigotry. Is it racist? Not the way I see it. These are just words. Words are bigotry - actions are racist. If this man was saying, "No, the position you have applied for is not available to you.......because I don't like black people" then that would be racist.

It is definitely an ignorant thing to say. No doubt about it. However, the public seems to be all too willing to accept when a minority says "I don't like white people." It should be wrong both ways if it is wrong one way. However, even though I don't agree with the guy's statement, he does have the right to say it.

It could be racist, but we'd need to know more about the person who said that. Merely disliking a group of people is not racist. I'm sure there are lots of blacks who don't like whites.

My wife was entering a store once, and a little black girl of about 4 held the door for her. Wifey says, "Thank you...you are such a sweet little girl." The mother grabbed the girl by the arm and jerked her away, saying, "DON'T talk to her...she's white. We don't talk to white people!" Wifey was completely shocked by that. At the time she had a number of black co-workers and attended a church that was half white and half black, so there wasn't much in her experience with black people to prepare her for that scenario.

Was that mother a racist? We don't know. But I wouldn't want to be the little girl with that kind of a mother, just as I could never be the man above who says he doesn't like black people.

Incidentally, there is no such thing as color. Nothing has intrinsic color. All that we observe that informs of color or that is perceived as color is an effect of the reflection of light. That's really going to hit home hard on judgment day for some people: "Sorry," says St. Peter. "You're going to hell because you were full of hatred for people who weren't your same color. And oh by the way, there never was any such thing as color in the first place. Bye!"

It's funny. Homosexuals, women, liberals, and many others are allowed to have feelings and to proclaim them. But CERTAIN PEOPLE are not permitted that very same right. Did that man do anything to harm that black man? No. But nevertheless, he is being attacked right here for expressing an honest opinion. Where's the justice in that? And if you shut him down, what stops others from shutting down anyone else who wishes to speak their mind? But then, liberals are the most intolerant people around, so it's actually kind of expected.

He's just being honest. If he doesn't like black people, that doesn't mean he wants to kill them. He just doesn't like them. Not liking them doesn't mean he hates them. Also, he's probably only referring to black Americans, because that's the only kind of black people he knows about. I mean, it's pretty bad when blacks in African often look down upon black Americans. That shows you color doesn't have anything to do with it.

I'm aware, the post above was about a black person being discriminated. So I gave an example of worse... Although I can say we've given black people and other races a pretty hard damn time. But racism exists in all color of people, and it's sick.

True there are racists in every group, and it is all sick.

Right now the likelihood of our responding out of context is very high. I would much rather see a clip first. Even then, without knowing the person saying it personally it's hard to say.
