No, this is my time to indulge!
Yes, I'd prefer fewer sweet treats.
You!

Christmas is all about family and giving and, for me, splurging (a little). I give myself permission to indulge during this time because it only comes once a year, and because I can't help myself when I see beautiful Christmas dessert tables like these.

I even went a little crazy this year and made marshmallow snowman cupcakes! :)

It is food we normally do not have so I enjoy is greatly. However, towards the end, I find myself craving something simple, like a PBJ, all that fancy food gets a little much.

Ok, I'm going to get slammed on this thought but here it goes! Our country has become so addicted to sugars and processed food which is poison in large amounts on the body! People are killing themselves with this junk! Fat people say "Take me as I am", well I think it is pretty stupid to think it is great to eat themselves to death!
  • Ɛ>Ninja... Bonita ... 2012/12/20 18:20:49
    Ɛ>NinjaGirl<3
Agreed, but some people just don't care enough about their body to take care of it (which is the sad part)

Yes it is sad, I slacked off today & didn't work out even though this was my third day of the week for workout routine. I normally work out at home 3 days aweek w/ resistance bands & two machines. Work out for an hour on Monday rest on Tues w/o again on wednesday, rest on thurs then work out on Friday then rest everything on the weekend. I was walking on my off days for 5 miles but winter set in & it's too dangerous to walk on snow packed ,icy roads. Make up for it w/ a rig called the Gazelle and a bun & thigh machine by Body by Jake.

I don't eat a lot of sweets but Christmas and Thanksgiving are the two times of year that I get to bake sweets out the wazoo with out things going to waste and I get to enjoy I the few sweets that I really do enjoy that I have a hard time making.

Marzipan, fudge, peanut butter fudge, chocolate nut crunch, white trash trail mix (not even kidding on the name, contains lots of white chocolate) pie, cookies, caramel, I can't even think of all the ones me and my mom put together, there's so many XD

Yes, but everything in moderation. You can eat a "little" bit of everything and come out a winner against the "fat monster" at the end of the Holidays. Good luck everyone and Happy Holidays!

Define "junk food" I do not consider home made desserts made with quality ingredients junk food. Not something that should be over indulged in,but not junk food. home made christmas cookies

Believe it or not, the bakeries and candy stores have hit that part of the market too. You can buy sugar free goodies that look and taste just as good as those made with sugar.. Now even the diabetics are not safe from the vast amount of treats out there.
