Is there discrimination against thin people?

Some people discriminate against others who are obese. I've overheard rather unpleasant comments directed at people who were on the larger side while out in public. But, let's check out the flip side. I've also overheard comments directed at people who were very thin.
Now, I'm on the smaller side, but I wouldn't consider myself to be "thin" in the sense of the word. However, a few years ago, I was much smaller. Family and friends used to comment on the fact that they could see my collarbone and that I needed to "put on a few pounds." I also recall visiting my sister out of state and walking around a mall, where these two ladies tailed me making comments in regard to the fact that "her waist can't possibly be for real. She has to be wearing something to hold it in." What can I say? Not all thin people are sickly, anorexic, or some other negative characteristic. Some people are just plain thin. My sister for example is six feet tall and about a size 6. And she's always been thin.
I've overheard people make comments about thin people that they must be ill, or they starve themselves to maintain their size. Not always the case.
So, do you believe there is discrimination against thin people?

"You eat all that high calorie food your going to get fat." "She must have a eating disorder because she so thin." Celebrities have to have a slim body to get movie roles and go on organic drink diets to look good in gowns on the red carpet. People forget that some people are naturally heavy or thinner. They aren't doing anything to alter their bodies.reply

- Bingo's Faddah 2012/01/31 16:42:55Yes+1Of course, and lots of it is envy, especially in your country. When I was 21 I was 6 feet tall and weighed about 125. A walking stick figure! Things do change, but I still have that nice smile!

- I am not real 2012/01/31 14:18:54Yes+3Yes I do and yes there is, I tried for years to put weight on and nothing worked, no matter what I ate, I tried all fries, all creams and all cookies, giving up smoking and nothing worked, I get abuse from all sides as in "what diet are you on" to "what drugs are you on" I dont consider myself to be thin but I am only 5`8" so consider myself proportional.reply
