Is there anyone in your life who regularly tells you that you're fat?

You!

A parent, sibling, boyfriend? In a demeaning way, in a pitying way, or in a matter of fact way? You could be overweight, average or even below average, and there will still be someone who thinks you're too fat.

I can't be the only one....

Not really, no. I still could probably lose quite a few pounds though.

Just myself, honestly. I often get the evil glare if I bring up I want to lose some odd inches and pounds. I have huge hips and thighs, and need to change that LOL. Nobody seems to notice but me. My boyfriend supports me wanting to change my imperfections ( he admits he'd love me no matter what I weighed, and I have this beauty and elegance that just exudes, but yeahhhh)

They're people who don't understand that it takes at least two years when you have kids that close, more if you're nursing. My daughter's youngest are 15 months apart and it took her a little over two years to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Ignore them.

If you're fat , you're fat. People don't know your circumstances-so to them, you just appear slovenly perhaps. It's not fair, but it is what it is.

I have not had this happen to me; As of late.

But I did struggle with weight issues as a young teen. My weight was always the point of ridicule from a former friend, and the comments did get the better of me.

I became paranoid; fixated on losing weight, and overly cautious of everything I put in my mouth. It resulted in a big problem. When all was said and done, what hurt me more was after losing the weight, I had a specific comment stated, that still sticks with me: "You look better, because you used to be fat"! That hurt me more than anything.

The Good news is, it will pass. You'll learn the only point of view that matters, is how you view yourself. People will be ignorant and pass sly remarks with no regard for the other person, but that doesn't deem it true.

I know easier said than done, but keep your head up. ;-)

Just me, because I've gained quite a bit of weight since losing my job. I used to get accused of being anorexic, just because I was slender and careful about what I ate. THAT is annoying too.......

What does ectomorph mean? *too lazy to look it upright now*

"the 3 morphs" or a combo of 2. I am long and lanky but can build big triceps and biceps but my Bench max is hard to increase.

Not me but my friend rylie, her parents always say she's fat and treat her like she's not good enough I've tried to help but she's so stubborn she's tries so hard to live up to their standards but apparently she always falls short in their eyes v.v I only hope that she'll come to her scences and get help before its too late

It's common to try to live up to expectations, especially if it's someone who is going to be in your life for a while. At least if it's only a friend, you can stop being friends with them. Not always that easy though.

    Me.

    Because I know I am.

Most people in my life tell me I'm *not* (other than my doctor, bless her for stating the truth), even though I'm 5'0" and about 200 lbs. >.> That's fat. Pure and simple.

However, most people I know who are average or below weight are often demeaned for that, not for being 'fat' - unless they have body dismorphic disorder.
