"Dr. Doom" Nouriel Roubini says the "perfect storm" scenario he forecast for the global economy earlier this year is unfolding right now as growth slows in the U.S., Europe as well as China.

The funny thing about economics is that it's all made up. Think about it. Society progressed from cave men, to stone masons to urban dwellers that could make rockets to put men on the moon. All because we said a shiny rock and then a piece of paper had value. It's a funny thing economics. Funnier still is that what will send the world off a cliff and help nobody will be stock markets and treasury bonds crashing, both of which signify nothing material but are purely speculative.

Imagine an alien civilization looking at us from above. Seeing that we are ruining ourselves by placing blind trust in a system that is entirely smoke and mirrors designed to hand out incentives.

The clarity of collapse has been accelerating. I've concern about it since I was first politically and economically aware during the Carter Malaise. It seems of late, the head spinning speed of collapse, moral decay, and societal demise will put us in good stead with all other civilizations of the past, that move from freedom to tyranny, Babylon, Egypt, Rome, Europe, Russia, etc, etc.
To save our country, we need to remove those with designs for fascism from it.

This is not a question but a statement of fact. If you know anything about our fiat money system, fractional reserve lending and central banking you would know that it is the purpose of the central bank to create debt and keep people there. All the people keep getting more poor while the banks allocate all the money and power.

Y'know, Tom, I hear you, but it's not the billionaires I see on the highways with road rage, or beating their kids, or sitting in front of the poker tables or stock broker risking family's futures, or asking for their 'victim's rights' on everything from healthcare to education. What I see is a full society, from the bottom up, that is 'self-centered', never satisfied or willing to play by the rules being dumbed down by an education system NOT created by the billionaires, but by the unions! And once created, that dumbed down society is led around sheep. Billionaires do not profit from an uneducated, sick or suffering society. THEY are the ones trying to create the alternate education and donating to research, etc, charities and more to restore our well-being, by en large.
Your theory is nice...but not real. Education, in class and in the world, is the key to sustaining a great economy.

I was almost undecided, but I think we'll go on. I'm more afraid of "The Day after Tomorrow" type super-storm coming soon from the climate change. The warning according to Whitley Streiber's book, "The Key" (which led to the movie) is methane bubbles will be forming on the Arctic, and that started in 2010. It is supposed to lead to a cataclysm that will wipe out 5 billion people in one season.

He only raised taxes slightly on the super rich so you don't have to pay them. The healthcare tax is .04%. He is no more socialist than Romney. Even Gingrich said this. 750,000 were removed from pubic jobs to reduce spending. Sorry you had to spread this kind of slime on such an interesting Sodahead question.
