“(The) 2013 perfect storm scenario I wrote on months ago is unfolding,” Roubini said on Twitter on Monday.

CNBC.COM reports:
"Dr. Doom" Nouriel Roubini says the "perfect storm" scenario he forecast for the global economy earlier this year is unfolding right now as growth slows in the U.S., Europe as well as China.

The funny thing about economics is that it's all made up. Think about it. Society progressed from cave men, to stone masons to urban dwellers that could make rockets to put men on the moon. All because we said a shiny rock and then a piece of paper had value. It's a funny thing economics. Funnier still is that what will send the world off a cliff and help nobody will be stock markets and treasury bonds crashing, both of which signify nothing material but are purely speculative.

Imagine an alien civilization looking at us from above. Seeing that we are ruining ourselves by placing blind trust in a system that is entirely smoke and mirrors designed to hand out incentives.

thanks for the info. They say that Iran's Jews and Jews living in Iran when the Shah was in power were treaed as equals and were free from persecution. But that all changed after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the Shah was overthrown.

When the FED prints stimulus money dollars.....it is creating value out of thin air.....
    also called "Quantitative easing"
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
something for nothing......how can that end well?

Think about your job...your wages.....how hard you actually work to earn dollars....
giving those dollars actual value to you and others as you trade money for goods and services.....

Then somebody in the FED says ....print money.....out of thin air....creating dollars

with the same value as the ones you worked your ass off for....

how can that work? how can those dollars have the same value?

    It doesn't...

Local banks are no better with fractional reserve banking. They don't actually have to have real money in reserve to loan out more money. They can take your deposit and loan out several times over its value, essentially creating money out of thin air when they make a loan.

Does he have a choice? Think about this... President Kennedy was assasinated months after he issued Executive Order 11110 stripping the Federal reserve of the power to issue currency based on thin air, and return this right to the Federal Reserve to issue currency based on real value (silver) in the treasury. Those US Government notes were issued for a time but ceased being issued after his death. Executive Order 11110 has not been rescinded AFAIK, so if Obama wants to be a hero (wear bullet proof underwear, hire faithful-to-him body guards) and enforce the order!

i think that we'll have maybe 2 more years or hardship then it will slowley pick up, it maybe have a growth of 10% then stay there for another 1 year or so then a full recovery will happen, i think the key is to stop throwing money away on bailouts and focus on other areas of investing and streamlinning such as these bonuses cut them in half and a lot of the high wages freeze wage rises for a year, in my work we never got a wage rise, don't get me wrong it does suck, but would people rather have jobs or wage cuts ?

Be careful what you wish for because more than likely it will be the liberals to take away more of your freedoms. They said the Titanic wouldn't sink, but it did. They said the stock market wouldn't crash before the great depression, but it did. Sit back and slowly waste away while your government takes care of you. Every time they give you something they want more back. You then turn over your freedoms because you have wasted away to a mere ameba who can't think for themselves.

    Vigilant Guard Exercise

Pictured above are Alaskan Army National Guard Soldiers assisting the Anchorage Police to calm or detain rioters as part of a training exercise called 'Vigilant Guard.’. It sure isn't posse comitatus compliant so it's obviously martial law training. Martial Law has become just so easy to declare and user friendly that no one needs to worry. Dont they always have your best interests at heart?
You have FEMA camps on 72 hours notice, the US military training for civil unrest and starvation scenarios, the government advising the staff of those non-existent FEMA camps to be ready for civilian intake on only 72 hours notice, the Department of Homeland Security ordering 450 million hollow point bullets which they refuse to explain, and other assorted rumours. Things look great, but dont worry it's all made up.

Apologies as I ran out of time on this comment. I will fill in the remaining sources when time provides me an opportunity.

It only happens in America if we let it.
Our National Debt to GDP is only hovering around 100%.
In the 1950's, it went to over 120%, under Truman, then Eisenhower.
(Notice we had two great decades afterwards?)

In a pinch...we could go though another $7 trillion to pull us through, and only be at 150% of GDP. 200% GDP would be around $30 trillion. Japan is cruising at 220% with only light debt effects. So, it can be done. Anyway, austerity is not the answer.

I know there are many methods to win Sim City (a city simulation game).

But, one method is to borrow up to your max, and build infrastructure, so your country living turns into a city, and the tax revenue covers your debt. It is OK to borrow if it is towards future growth. That is the Obama plan. The Romney plan is more austerity, which is not working in Europe, and also does not work for very long in Sim City. Obama's more expansive programs are the way to win the game.
