The Peplum trend has been popping up -- or rather, flaring out -- all over the runway this season and you're sure to find shirts and dresses with these short overskirts at any major department store. They come in a variety of styles, so there is a peplum for every body type. What do you think of this trend? Are peplums hot or not?

Love the peplum. It has been around several times and am glad it re-appeared. Can be flattering on the right bodies.

I always liked them. As I think back on some of my favorites, they had peplums. I wish I were that skinny again when I wore them well. They really showed off the waist line.

I hated them when they were in style years ago and I still hate them. However, I do like the dresses that Scarlet and Rianna are wearing. The other two are ugly!!!! They make most people look heavier than they are.

Unfortunately, it accentuates an area that most women want to hide. We do not want to be HUGE in the hips.

Sculptural clothing CAN be cool if don't in a way where the shoulders are accented or a little tiny flair here and there.....but a total hip flare. NO way!

I love this look. It is classy and elegant, but you can dress it down or up. The most important thing is it hides the dreadful baby pouch. Oh, ladies, you know the one I speak of.

There are different styles of peplums and I do not think you have shown the best. I have a pattern that is very elegant. It is a long straight skirt and the peplum on the top/coat falls long and pointed in the back and tapers off to quite a bit smaller in front.

I dislike it, it looks like a random bunch of fabric that was tucked into a mini skirt upon another skirt.
Looks kind of silly and pointless to me.

It can be hot, if done well, it also very much depends on the body of the person wearing it...

Skinny hourglasses can wear absolutely anything, but peplum works well on athletic and top heavy builds too.

Love. This is a great style for almost any woman. It brings in the waist and extends the hip giving you an hourglass look. Beautifully classy.

It's a nice style.. great for accenting that waist if it's small.. and hiding if you're a little wide in the hips..so it has a great purpose and it's hot!!!
