Is the Peplum Trend Hot or Not?

The Peplum trend has been popping up -- or rather, flaring out -- all over the runway this season and you're sure to find shirts and dresses with these short overskirts at any major department store. They come in a variety of styles, so there is a peplum for every body type. What do you think of this trend? Are peplums hot or not?

I ALWAYS liked this style. I think it looks great on every type of body. It hides flaws with curvy women and gives some curves to women who need some help. I have always thought it was figure flattering and edgy. I LOVED this on suit jackets and had several in the 90's that I hated getting rid when they became out dated. I hope they stay in style because I'd buy a dress and/or a jacket with a peplum in a heart beat.
