Is sunrise and sunset this year crazy?

i have lived in the same house for 21 years and the angle of the light at sunrise and sunset is very different this year to me. for 19 of those 21 years i didn't have a window a/c.last year light wasn't on the wall at all due to the a/c and plywood it's mounted on take up half the window, this year the sunlight on the wall at sunset is bigger than it ever was with out the a/c. is anybody else see this also like alot of people have heard strange sounds like horns where no storm warning system exists?
