Wait I mean hmmm...! Sorry! Cuz sometimes being afraid makes you handle things cautiously and more thoroughly but it depends on the person. Some carry out their work just quick to get away some however (me ofr instance) does things thoroughly and slowly... so depends.

I was in the military, and flew ASW missions. You spend part of your time placing sonobouys in a pattern. This involves flying at high speed 50-100 ft above the ocean, and making 90 degree turns. The P3B was a 90 ft Wingspan plane, so often we could see the propwash making a wake in the water.
We should have been scared out of our pants, but our training told us that we were fine, so long as we did the job right.

You can not live in fear of something you wish to do. If you are to afraid of it, you will not be able to fully put yourself into your job.
