Class warfare rages on. The left can't run on its policies or accomplishments, so it's war on women, race baiting and class warfare. What an empty dead-end philosophy.

Yeah, like Huffpo is any real media source. Even Obama ripped on them! At least Romney understands market principles- Obama is clueless---> "hey, let's put millions of dollars into green energy when people are loosing their jobs and houses!". Duh! Not even his zombies bought the stuff- some "yes we can" bunch! "No, you can't build it Barack, because this isn't "Field of Dreams of your Father"!

This is a trick question, right?

"At the same time, most people agree that we should not raise taxes on middle-class families or small businesses -- not when so many folks are just trying to get by. Not when so many folks are still digging themselves out of the hole that was created by this Great Recession that we had, and at a time when the recovery is still fragile. And that’s why I’m calling on Congress to extend the tax cuts for the 98 percent of Americans who make less than $250,000 for another year." - President Obama

    No trick.

I personally believe all parties are out of touch ever since they stopped doing their job representing the people.

They represent themselves, not the people they were paid to do.

I agree, except for the part where you say "since they stopped". Politicians always have and always will primarily serve their own interests and beliefs.

But I'm not sure that the $250,000 mark really points to being out of touch, both sides are saying $250,000 and under.

Certainly $250,000 is more than most Americans make, but it doesn't seem to me to be exorbitantly high and mostly includes "average" people in the sense that they have to show up to work every day and actually produce something (as opposed to those who are so wealthy that they can make millions by moving their capital from place to place or just live off the interest). And remember, this number it also includes most small business owners.

He's more in touch with what's happening in America and has the ability to do something about it because he has the ability to turn around financial and economic messes, it's what he does. I think he really wants to help the country and Americans instead of helping himself which is all Obama has done. If anyone is out of touch, clueless, and completely useless it's Obama.

Maybe you should look up to see what BO says the middle class is BEFORE criticising what Romney said. What Romney said was that middle class is $200,000-$250,000 and LESS. BO says it's less than $250,000 sooo they both AGREE that the UPPER LIMIT of middle class is $250,000.

I don't either! I would think that middle class would be the $50,000-$100,000 combined income per household, but that kind of money goes alot farther in the midwest than elsewhere.

It was the current administration that identified the bottom end of the rich as $250,000.

If anyone is out of touch it is Obama & his cronies. No matter what the people say the administration takes the position that the only ones that can know what is good for the people is the administration.

The big cities on both coasts are doing fine. The fly over states or the heart of America is not. Just drive through the heartland and see.

Not everyone lives in high paying hubs like NYC, D.C., Chitown or S.F.

I know a lot of folks that would kill for just a 40K yr gig.

Heck I don't even need that much, anymore.

Between $30,000 and $200,000 there are 68,848,725 returns 49% of all returns.
    Between $30k & $40k - 14 Million returns
Between $40k & $50k - 11 Million returns (looks like you might be correct)
    Between $50k & $75k - 18 Million returns (oops, guess not)
    Between $75k & $100k - 11 Million returns
    Between $100k & $200k - 14 Million returns
( Table 9b: Examination Coverage: Individual Income Tax Returns Examined, by Size of Adjusted Gross Income http://www.irs.gov/uac/SOI-Ta... )

Odd Just as many between $30k & $40k as there are between $100k & $200k.
