The internet is flocking to a new Tumblr page called "Rich Kids of Instagram," which is basically a tour of the good life... in picture form. The photos, set into virtual gold frames, feature mostly teens and young adults in exotic vacation spots, surrounded by the fineries of a high-end hotel room or their own lavish homes, as well as various other snapshots of a life free of financial worry.
An Atlantic Wire reporter, Rebecca Greenfield, had this to say about the Rich Kids of Instagram page. "Teens posing with helicopters they did not earn and posting photos online for others to ogle provides an easy in for commentary on the state of the American dream. (Dead.)"

"Silver Spoon'rs" are nothing more than the evidence of prior generations goals & successes coming to fruition.
Should all my successes merit and amass great wealth, I too hope my children, grandchildren and generations after that experience the fruit of my successes in ways that were never affordable to me in my youth.
The American dream is not dead, its just bound up in national and international policy that favor a few over the many. Further dividing "the many" with "All for some and everyone else on their own" rhetoric promising "you too can be super-rich" all the while blocking the path through preferential policies..
No one obtains wealth on their own.
Even the $337 million dollar Michigan "Mega Millions/Powerball Lottery" winner had 42 States, DC and The Virgin Islands of "hopeful consumers" contributing to the pot.
For now, I'm just going to view these photos as entertainment; as they were meant for.
It's refreshing to hear from someone who is mentally healthy.
Only 1 super extravagant purchase. a 1973 & 1968 Eleanor Mustangs.
Perfect examples of entitlement gone way too far.
Not really . . . but you're allowed to live your own fantasy life.
You're just not allowed to misrepresent it as factual.
