Guys pay for sex all the time when they take women out on Dates they pay for Dinner and pay for movies and pay for this and pay for that just to have sex with a woman its the same thing only a prositute is more honest

I chose no because I am uncertain as to whether I would consider it a form of prostitution. In many ways it is because both are getting paid for sexual natured content but on the other hand porn is a choice. However, a lot of those performing in porn are hurting for money and need to pay bills so that could make one trapped in it. Both are not entirely desirable. The biggest question I have is why is it more socially acceptable for a man to go to a prostitute than it is for a woman to be one?

It is and it isn't. I have zero problem with either. Having had good friends in pretty much all aspects of the adult entertainment industry over the years, I will say there is a good deal of ignorance flowing in this thread.

Prostitution involves a person paying to have sex with the seller. Pornography involves people getting paid by someone other than who they are screwing. Simple.

No, because in the context of pornography, the person getting paid is not actually having sex with the person paying them. THey are getting paid for that person to WATCH them having sex.

Certainly and to me it is every bit as reprehensible for those who watch and produce it. Not only are people profiting from someone else selling their bodies without any knowledge of why that person is doing so, whether they are being exploited or abused, but they are also profiting from something which will be available forever, in my eyes that just makes it worse. Its one thing to prostitute oneself for money in one desperate moment of one's life, but to have that moment follow you for the rest of your life, to constantly live in fear 5 or 10 or 20 years later that the odd coworker, family member or even child could google the wrong thing and ruin your entire life to me makes pornography all the more reprehensible.
