Strong people like my grandparents and parents are a thing of the past. Our future lies in the hands of undisciplined children...

Yes it is. That is why we have the government that we have today. We have people that fell entitled and do not have to work for their day bread and have not respect for the law or others. They do not even have respect for themselves or they would go out and contribute.

The more the government intrudes upon our lives, the more some people are willing to hand over all responsibility to them. Like Washington DC is so responsible. Social networks sound so wonderful, but there is a consequence to giving yourself to an outside agency to care for you. That is greater control over you to that government agency, more reliance upon that government for your needs (rarely do you get above poverty when taken care of), less independence, less ambition and drive. Have I said enough?

And it starts at the top. Obama has never taken responsibility for anything... it's still Bush's fault. If the POTUS refuses to set an example (which is obvious that he does refuse to do so), those that look up to him are going to do exactly as he does.

Personal responsibility? It's gone, and all part of the plan to destroy our capitalist society: (1) Remove faith from the public square (2) Destroy the family, remove the primary teacher of values, the mother, from the home with the promise of equal opportunity. Emasculate the father with political correctness or remove him from the home altogether with welfare requirements. (3) Destroy the educational system, dumb down the youth and future leaders with weakened curricula and revisionist history. Eliminate the emphasis on math, science and critical thinking. The end result is an irresponsible populace - and irresponsible people not only do a poor job of providing for themselves, they are not going to question the authority that "gives" them their basic sustenance. Don't take my word on this - read the tenents of the Fabian Society, the Communist Manifesto - it's all there.

The human race is often irresponsible, cruel and lazy-- this is nothing new. This is nothing recent because it has always been this way. Social media and the media in general expose the public to many social maladies that we'd never have witnessed in the past. Humans as a group have not become more immoral over time, it's far more complex than that. In some ways we have progressed and in others we are at the same place as we were in the 16th century.

This also has nothing to do with politics. There have always been lazy people and there always will be.

Obama's mantra: Never take personal responsibility for anything. He's very good at it too. Sets a fine example for the rest of the county doesn't he? Fine way for a man, any man who has children at an impressionable age to behave. First rate father figure that man is.
