The real problem with Christianity is not that it is unbelievable at all people believe all kinds of nonsense. The problem with Christianity as with all other religions is that they are the core of a social network that has formed over thousands of years. The core to you being let in or to being allowed to stay in is that you don't rock the boat by introducing to many facts or by criticizing its credibility. To a lot of people being a part of the network is important to business and other social advantages. so what is at the base of a religion is not as important as the fact that religion is ideal for business networking. And using the explanation of faith for your conviction at least makes one seem a little credible. fortunately there are more and more non religious groups beginning to surface these days.

Its ALL ridiculous. I questioned it my entire childhood and knew the ministets wete scamsmen. Theyre bums who mooch off of strangers by lying. A lot of them pretend to have secret conversations with god to keep people in line,..which is the reason it was invented to begin with..oh!,.and to make money.

The problem is it requires faith in something that you can not confirm, and most people don't wish to relinquish that type of control to anything these days.

The New Testament has 57 books, and 20 of them were written by Paul, beginning abou 20 years after the cross thing. In order to gain attention, beyond the mundane, it is necessary to become larger than life. Religion today doesn't come close to the original practices. And to top it all, everyone 'interprets' the subject to fit their own need and worldview.

Unbelievable? I’ll tell you what’s unbelievable – believing this world just happened by chance – believing in nothingness – believing this world and humans continue to exist because of nothing.

Yes, Christianity inhabits a strange space in American life. It is by far the predominant religion in the most religious country in the industrialized world, with nearly 90 percent of its citizens professing belief in God and a large majority claiming allegiance to a Christian denomination or sect. Yet Christians are regularly targeted for ridicule and vilification by a significant portion of America's cultural elite, a situation all the more striking in view of the prevailing hypersensitivity toward other religious, ethnic and lifestyle groups.

Could it be the author of this poll didn’t choose to question the Muslim religion because he didn’t want to insult a religion he knew he might be murdered for insulting? Christians will simply shake their heads and move on.

Consider, when a presidential aide in the Clinton administration sought to discredit an independent prosecutor, for example, he instinctively denounced the churchgoing attorney as a "religious fanatic." This would be a career-ending insult had it been directed at a devout Jew or Muslim or calling an atheist afanatic. The fact that the aide kept his job while the White House refused to issue even a perfunctory apology illustrates the impunity that surrounds casual bigotry against Christians.

In an infinite universe of infinitde possibility, anything that can happen WILL happen, and here we are. Why go believing a story that has mistranslated forabout 2000 years? It isn't even relevant beyond having to deal with people thaT conduct themselves according their religious beliefs.

Not so. To be an atheist requires an infinitely greater measure of faith than to receive all the great truths which atheism would deny. Yes, the atheist is one of the most daring beings in creation — a condemner of God who attempts to explode his laws by denying his existence.

Plato said, “Atheism is a disease of the soul, before it becomes an error of the understanding.”

What can be more foolish than to think that all this existence of heaven and earth could come by chance, when all the skill of mankind is not able to make an oyster? Well, maybe you are the exception and can accomplish this – right?

To see creation and claim there is no cause, there is no creator; that is came about simply by being, without time, without an eternity; a second, without a first: these are things so against philosophy and natural reason, that you can only be devoid of understanding.

You, the thing formed, says that nothing formed it; and that which is made, is, while that which made it is not! Wow!!! How arrogant!

Your argument is flawed. Plato, in referencing god(s), was living where they worshiped a pantheon of multiple gods. Go back to INFINITE POSSIBILTIES!

So sorry you failed logic. Plato did worship multiple gods -- the point is he believed in gods, not just himself. You fail because you believe and put your faith only in yourself and believe you are your god.

I'm going to pretend your nonsensical answer is a serious attempt. My answer to your "fanatic" assertion is yes, because you are truly uninformed.

As a famous writer put it, "No one is so thoroughly superstitious as the godless man. Life and death to him are haunted grounds, filled with goblin forms of vague and shadowy dread."

Your theologians of atheism assert that people are, ”A hairless ape” - Schoenberg; ”A mere insect, an ant…” - Church; ”An accidental twig” - Gould; ”A rope stretched over an abyss” - Nietzsche; ”A fungus on the surface of one of the minor planets” - Du Maurier; ”A jest, a dream, a show, bubble, air…” - Thornbury; and ”I see no reason for attributing to man a significant difference in kind from that which belongs to a grain of sand” - Oliver Wendell Holmes.

    Yes, I'll believe the Bible.

I applaud your being well read. That doesn't change the fact that if one reads gibberish, it remains gibberish, even if you believe it.
A simple FACT that you all ignore. A singular god creates a universe for companionship! Anybody capable of such a feat is NOT going to create US first. Such a being would create contemporaries so he would be able to say to them; "Look at what I have done!" That blows your monotheistic nonsense out of the water. Try getting an education that CHALLENGES your thinking, rather than merely reinforcing it.
It is physically IMPOSSIBLE to translate ANY foreign language into another language verbatim. The story, to which you adhere, has been told and re-told ad nauseum, and has pretty much been MISTRANSLATED from the first telling. There is NO SUCH CRITTER as a God....just more advanced critters. How ever do you think these "primitives" came up with MULTIPLE gods? Do some more in depth research in material that is NEW to you!

But I give the Christians a little bit of the benefit of the doubt because back when that cult started out, there was not as much scientific explanation available for the things which were being witnessed, so supernatural explanations were much easier to believe. Then as the movement grew, certain testimonies had to be solidified and accepted on faith for the mythology to become dogma that the masses would accept and continue to be molded by the priesthood hierarchy.

Krishna is worshipped as the Supreme God; they believe that one can attain a personal relationship with Him. Jesus Christ is recognized as a directly empowered representative of Krishna.
Krishna teaches us to respect any religion that strives to better a mans soul for they are all paths to enlightenment, just some longer than others.
I am actually a deist since i do not believe any religion is 100% accurate but Krishna consciousness comes the closest to my beliefs.

You are absolutely correct, except the flood DID occur. The evidence for it is everywhere. It was caused by meteor and asteroid strikes. I think it was the Leonids. Consider what happens when a large meteor/asteroid strikes water. A LOT of water is evaporated. If there are multiple strikes, it means even more vaporization. Our planet was literally carpet-bombed by meteor strikes. I've seen many NASA photos showing the weathered craters and they cover the entire earth. When the resulting rain falls....it floods....big time! I was a little skeptical until I saw these photos. I was able to connect the dots after I got the missing piece!

    Christianity Makes sense.

A virgin had gods baby. Who then grew up to murdured by the Jews or maybe the Romans. so you and I could be forgiven for Eve eating that apple she got from the talking snake. 3 days later Jesus rose from the dead to tell everyone he was coming back someday to fight the devil. Then he flew up to his mansion in Heaven where he sits in judgement of the gays.

How can you not believe that?

This is from a Cleveland show episode and the mind of Seth McFarland. So take what you will from it. I found it quite humorous.
