No, I think you're way off on this one. First of all, to compare Feminism to the KKK is pretty outrageous. The KKK was (is) a violent, racist, bigoted gang of thugs who murdered blacks, raped their women and hung many a black man over the years. There is not comparison to that behavior.
Second, I think that all women want is a chance to be well educated, have a decent job with pay equal to men. In fact, the GOP is now proposing unequal pay for women doing the same job as a man. Looks to me like women haven't been aggressive enough to have old chestnut rear its ugly head again. You should take it down a notch.
Is modern day feminism similar to the Ku Klux Klan?

I read this in my daily wanderings on the internet and wondered if the idea had any merit. Here were some of the statements:
"Please don't get me wrong, I am a woman and I do agree with equal
rights. However, with the way feminist take things overboard these days
I do have to agree. To fight for equal rights between all human beings
is a great thing. But to try and put others down below you just
because things have not been equal in the past in wrong. Anymore,
feminists are not fighting for equality they are fighting for
superiority. Both of the sexes should have equal an equal opportunity
in this country (and others as far as I am concerned), but modern day feminism wants to enslave men. "

"Feminist have achieved so much in regards to female rights, without
losing too many of their women only rights. Today most women's rights
groups are more sexist than the oppression that they fight. There are
several groups that will give out scholarships to single mothers for
college, but next to nothing for single fathers. The goal of feminist of
today is to not work along side men in equality, they talk of how much
better the world would be with a woman in charge."

Is there any merit to this idea?

No.
BTW, the gentleman on his hands and knees in the picture is actually looking for a small diamond which his grand-mother gave him years ago when he was voted the best-looking altar-boy in church, and his kind, lawful wife (not BDSM mistress) is actually helping him find it on this sandy beach a few hundred yards away from their vacation home in Maine.
Most people want to compare the idea of the original feminist movement with the original KKK movement. Both have transformed into different animals from their original inception.
You can't compare the brutality of past KKK activities, but it does appear the violent tactics they used years ago have been reduced significantly. What is comparable is the hatred and disservice they do to the groups the claim to represent.
Let's not forget about Margaret Sanger....Feminist founder of Planned Parenthood, Eugenicist, Racist and collaborator of the KKK (ofcourse that doesn't stop PP from killing White babies).
The KKK is a white supremacy group that consider oppression their mission in life. They truly have an evil background. The women's movement has never been, nor will it ever be, even close to that group regardless of what they do.
What things exactly are women asking for the would "enslave" men?
That how oppressors ACT . . . that's what they DO.
Interesting.
Stupid comments.
Its my theory that too much exposure to stupid and/or crazy is contagious.
Think about it; how many "melt-downs" have you witnessed, just since joining this site?
I know.
Egads, its not even June yet.
Imagine what this fall will be like...
Duly noted.
Equal rights means EQUAL, not anyone above anyone else.
I find it interesting how our society uses words to twist and manipulate... pretty much everything.
Unless you equate bra burning to cross burning. I don't believe any front yards had a single bra burning.
Women's issues and feminism isn't about keeping anyone "in their place" which is what the KKK is about it. It's about ensuring that women aren't exploited. More than equal pay for equal work, and health care decision and choices,
I do no see how or where feminism wants to enslave anyone.
