it's cool while it's good but once it ends its something that could leave years of psychological damage ;) takes about 2-3 years to get over real love, im close to my 3rd year now and i'm pretty much over it, but the past few years have been pretty rough

Just hard to find, painful... a battlefield. However when you do meet somebody special you know it, and you know it for life

Not if you find the right person...your soul mate, or that one person who makes your life great just by being there...or who just makes everything great... Find that person, and life and love are very good!

If you expect from it more than it can actually deliver, then I think that it is.

This isn't bitter, but the wonderful elevated feelings to get when you first meet someone are chemical tricks designed to get you to reproduce. Which was fine when humans died at around 25 to 30 years old... but now that we've institutionalized and normalized lifetime commitments as if they are actually sacred... well the divorce rate tells us volumes about the sanctity of marriage. However, modern times call for two income households, so many people are together(and separate) over issues of finance.. once again reducing the human equation to a measured response for our survival instincts. We are surrounded by more people than have ever existed... and some people feel more alone now than ever before. Weird right? However if you resonate well with someone there is no reason you shouldn't stay together.... but it's still not sacred.
