Love can endure pain, never inflict it.
Love can be even where sex isn't.
If you will want to know what love is, then know that "Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends..." for love is of God, for God is love, eternal. (Incidently, love is not God.)
And, of love are the most beautiful of emotions, the strongest of bonds, the profoundest of sentiments. Love brings commitment to relationships. Love will honour the loved one. Love will respect the absolutes of the order of things as ordainied of God. Love will have sex only in the right context—marriage, never outside of it. Love will not marry for sex: sex happens when love celebrates the marriage, for sex brings two people in love into deep communion with each other and deepens their love.
If there is pain in a marriage, love will seek to remove the cause of it. Where love is misery cannot be. Love creates happiness. God bless you all.
as for misery? well, i've only had one relationship where i was miserable
and my current relationship is as perfect as a relationship can get.
