  I like all dogs, and jack russels are great little dogs, but they aren't for everyone. They don't handle neglect well. They're really smart and that means they get bored easily. When they get bored, they look for ways to entertain themselves and that tends to get them into trouble. Their active minds make them great working dogs though, they're very trainable, that's why they show up on tv.

  Jack Russels are the cutest! I love all dogs but the Jack russels have stollen my heart. They are very active and love to be shown attention. My Jack russels is mixed with chihuahua. He is so adorable and he loves his football. Jack Russels all the way

  I love em all but am partial to the Terrier breeds. They are tenacious and never quit.but then most dogs are that way.

  My little rough coated Jack Russell (later to be known as a Parson Russell Terrier - she was a long leggy type) passed at the ripe old age of 17. She loved to make people laugh. I do miss her dearly,

  SORRY! Meant to say YES!!!! I can definitely vouch for that. My ex-boyfriend has one, and she's been my buddy a long time. They're good dogs as long as they're socialized constantly with people and other animals. They're very active, very smart, and they're working dogs, so they get bored easily. They have to have something to do and need alot of exercise. They're great and a bundle of fun. I just love 'em. They're great!!

  They're hilarious!!! They'll keep you laughing a mile a minute. They're very territorial, so it takes time for them to warm up to visitors. But if I had the place for it and the time, that would be my choice of breed too. They're a hoot!!!

  Poor things can't swim though =( I know one guy who has one. He let us come over to see her. The dog loved the water, but since they're top heavy and can't swim, they put a little doggy life vest on her! It was cute. I was unaware of the territorial thing >.> I thought they were very friendly until provoked. But each dog can be quite different too.

  They can be. But if they're socialized properly it won't always be a problem. My ex has one, and unfortunately she wasn't socialized enough with people and other animals. She would tear after other animals no matter what their size. And if she saw somebody walking across the street she was hell bent to get 'em if she could!!!! She was half nuts. The lady who used to own her had no clue about what to do with the dog, and so she wasn't really trained right. But when she died, my ex took her and made sure she was well taken care of. I noticed too that they don't swim. My ex took her to the lake, but watched her very carefully so she wouldn't get hurt.

  Yeah, much of it is socialization and the training and such. That's one reason I hate when all of one breed gets a bad rap. Like Pitbulls or Rotties. Some of the sweetest most docile pups I've known have been of those breeds, because they had intelligent and good owners that knew how to properly raise them.

  I've been around Rotties more, and they're great dogs. Even pit bulls aren't bad if they are trained right. Those dogs are alot of fun, and they'd sit in your lap before they'd hurt you!!! Ha Ha!! I've had Golden retrievers, Dobermans, boxers, Jack Russells, Toy terriers and poodles in my lap. They were all a hoot!! Boy, they sound really vicious don't they? Ha Ha!!
