Major marijuana myth: pot use use can be a cause of death. So say many anti-drug warriors, such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who recently wrote to a constituent that "marijuana and other narcotics" can lead to death.
PotleafAccording to Time magazine, "No one has ever died of THC [marijuana] poisoning, mostly because a 160-pound person would have to smoke roughly 900 joints in a sitting to reach a lethal dose."
In 1988, DEA Administrative Judge Francis Young concluded, "In order to induce death, a smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette."

Here's the good news: Fewer teens are smoking cigarettes. Here's the bad news: More of them are smoking pot. A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that only 18 percent of teens said they smoked a cigarette in the past 30 days, but 23 percent said they smoked marijuana in the same time frame.

So why are adolescents choosing pot over cigarettes? A study from the University of Michigan found that teens have gotten the message that cigarettes are bad for you, but seem to believe marijuana is less harmful.
Alcohol, however, is still teens' top drug of choice. More than 1 in 3 high school students reported current alcohol use in 2011, and 1 in 5 high school students reported binge drinking, CBS reports. Do you think it's more dangerous for teens to smoke pot? Or cigarettes?

You don't want your kids smoking pot because of the legal risks.
You, my dear, are an intelligent, good parent.
The Native Americans said that it coincided with the four directions in that it causes four healthy reactions:
1) hunger
2) thirst
3) sexual arousal
4) sleep
Marijuana? Eat some, and see how much you can eat before you get sick.
Tobacco.. Try even consuming just a few pieces, you'll get the difference FAST!
Marijuana is organic enough that you can consume it.
You would of course get stoned that way then. Seeds though are good for you, as they contain Protein. Hemp seed probably has more, but I would figure even seed from Cannabis also contains Protein.
So the closest relative to Cannabis, Hemp, can actually be made into Health Food.
You aren't allowed to grow either one.

Are you sure that you aren't confusing marijuana with alcohol?
Of course, there is the aspect that the illegality of the stuff ruins lives. That's absolutely true.
But I've never come across anyone whose life has been ruined by smoking or eating marijuana.
Tobacco smoke contains so many more toxins and carcinogens than equal amounts of pot that it makes comparison odious. Like comparing a grapefruit to an arm chair.
P.S. God made tobacco too. He just didn't infuse it with chemicals like the cigarette manufacturers did to make it more addictive, etc.
As long as they don't smoke pot ALL day. They both have harmful smoke, and the people I know and knew that smoked it all the time (morning-night) were lame.
My vote does not mean I'm a pothead fanatic zombie. I would NEVER advocate the recreational use of marijuana. It is a 100% worthless activity...
