If the only reason you are there ..
is to be a 'spoiler' and ruin the experience of SH for anyone else
I'd call that more than RUDE ..
    it is TROLLING ..

(you'd think that by the time folks get to middle school .. they'd have already learned polite discussions .. but obviously .. there's quite a few who have missed those lessons!)

yes it's rude but you can't avoid it... You and that someone's opinion is not alike so... if you think he's not right you tell him/her... but sometimes its being misunderstood as a picking of fight..

If u aren't their friend u need to be asked first. Most of my SodaHead friends have told me I was welcome to their post anytime. But I would never pick a fight with anyone.I had someone call me judgemental bitch. I feel that if u don't like what people said then they shouldn't be on SodaHead.

I think it is rude because I am sure that in real life not even 1/4 of the people saying all kinds of nasty comments online would say them in person. People just feel really bold behind a computer screen!

if you are just arguing for arguings sake, yeah. if its a discussion that gets a bit heated, well... its bound to happen. but it would be nice if differences in opinions were handled with maturity. =)

...but then I think it's rude to pick fights anywhere. I don't confuse the disagreements of discourse with fights however. "Disagreement is the source of all new knowledge." Karl Popper

Not at all. The nature of this website is for opinions to clash. If you're on here, you should be ready to back up your opinion if someone attacks it.

yes if the person is putting bad and vicious lies about your family and I think laws should protect from awful lies and viciousness....my family is going through it by another and I stop at nothing to let people know she is spreading lies.

Picking a fight, just to entertain oneself, is a sign of immaturity.

Some people don't know how to be anything else. I imagine that bad manner and being raised by wolves contribute to that.

When does a debate cross the line and become a fight? Is it an exchange of rude or foul comments? That Sister is a brawl between immature people.

To agree or disagree with someones thoughts or ideas is in our very nature. How we demonstrate our discontent with obscure thoughts away from our own. Tactfulness and mutual respect in conversation should engage debate to a point of influence and wonder or even persuasion. Arrogance, hatred of name calling and degrading comments are usually a sign of a mister know it all. Even though some language in tougher debates must be accepted by both parties to get even handed points across. Attacks should be focused on the debate not the individual making the points of debate.

This is a place to voice opinions and by doing so we learn and then inform others. fighting makes no sense unless you get off on provoking others.

This is a debate and opinion site. It should be expected that some would have differing opinions. I have never seen anyone pick a fight, but I have seen many extented debates.

When I say fights that is what some do it has nothing to with differing opinions. Calling people names and talking about their parents is about fighting not debating. extended debates are not about fighting and I have seen people make rude and ugly statements.
I have watched debates and name calling was not part of it.

It's when they get into calling me names because they don't agree with me that I will possibly go and block them. i don't have to put up with verbal abuse and don't want to read anymore of that person's nasty names for me and don't care what they have to say after they cross that line.

I often see soda head users come into a post and start disagreeing with everyone and name calling too. I have to sometimes wonder why people feel the need to do this.
