I met this girl on a cruise and we spent every second of the cruise together. She said she loved me and I told her the same, because I did, and when we left for our seperate ways i felt brokenhearted. Is it possible i am really in love after 5 days?

I believe in love at first sight so it is definitely possible to fall in love with someone
in a week. Time is not the factor, fate is. If it's meant to be, it will be.

I think cruise ships make people fall in love or something. I mean, look at Jack and Rose from Titanic. They only knew each other for 2 or 3 days. Hahahaha

It's hard to tell if you are in love or lust with someone in 5 days. But I have no doubts that you're feelings can definitely turn into love over time.
I feel like if you have to question whether or not you are in love, then you are not. Love is a definite feeling. I, personally, know that I am. I don't have to question it (: But that does not mean that your feelings are not significant enough or that you do not have the potential to love!

I feel the worst i have ever felt when im not around her, and when i am i feel on top of the world. I would do take a bullet for her. I would cut off a hand to be with her. I would cheer her up because i love to see her happy not because i have to. and the most beautiful thing i have ever seen is her smile. I am not questioning whether or not im in love. I know i am. I am more or less questioning whether or not i have lost my mind.

Hahahaha I'd say so then (: But do realize that love and lust can be very easily confused. I've heard of people who feel the similarly as you and their relationship ends badly because they think their in love when it's lust that's making those feelings. I say this simply as a warning though only time can really tell, I suppose. I believe that you're feelings are true and I hope that you guys end up together and happy (:

Well, in the movies they are ALWAYS falling in love within five or six days. But in real life? I don't know. I once thought I was in love with someone just after two weeks of dating them, but then it didn't turn out to be real love at all. So honestly I think it depends on the person and the situation, and if it IS real love then congratulations. But just brace yourself for it possibly NOT being the real thing.

you spent as much time with her as some couples do in a year and it is quite possible to fall in love very quickly if you both bond well...you both meant what you said to each other but see how you feel after being apart for a few weeks

Spending every waking minute doing fun things with someone can make you pretty attached. How far away from you does she live? Are you still communicating with her? What did she think? It could have been just a summer fling but possibly more.
