    It's not a sin, no.

I would recommend you not invest too much money in it, that you not be too quick to invest your trust in it also, there are a lot of scam artists out there...

But if you enjoy it, if you think there might be something to it, and if what the person doing the reading says to you makes sense initially... then go for it

If you believe In God and Christ, I would most certainly not recommend going to consult a psychic. If you don't believe In God/ Christ do as you please ,and I guess you'll find out If he approves on Judgement day.

I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people (Leviticus 20:6).

Not for you, but it'll probably a sin for the psychic to lie about your future.

It's certainly not a sin my my viewpoint; clairvoyance is a gift from God, not a demonic trait. Psychics and "witches" were condemned by religious leaders in the Bible and elsewhere because they didn't want any competition for power. However, you can get ripped off by unscrupulous fakes if you're not careful. Do a lot of research before you choose a psychic to go to.

I've had readings done before... some were accurate and some weren't. I rely on talented friends to do readings for me, or go to psychics they recommend.

You need to read the bible because nowhere In It does It mention " clairvoyance" being a gift from God.

it was a "competition for power. It is merely the fact that we are ASKED to put our faith in Him and not in others. To seek advice and fortunes from others, is to show you do not have faith in HIm.

I wouldn't bother considering it a sin, but it is foolish. While I do believe that more things exist in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in our philosophies, any psychic who advertises and takes money is likely a false spiritualist. It would be more beneficial (and cheaper) for you to seek the answers from within, hidden in that quiet place of stillness usually found at the cusp of sleep.

Apparently the bit that forbids consulting a psychic is Deuteronomy. See Herb's comment below. I'm aware of what Leviticus says regarding that, and it disgusts me. But I disagree with the entire Bible anyway.

But realize that it is in the laws regarding the Levites, the priestly clan. Those were instructions for those who were to enter into His temple and conduct worship and sacrifice to Him.

I don't think it's a sin to see a psychic, but I personally think it's foolish to put your faith in one. Your particular religion may take a dim view of them. They ask questions, and they are quite good at reading body language. That is how they get many of their 'psychic' information. If I were ever to go to one and she started asking me questions, I'd refuse to answer, since she's the psychic, so she doesn't need my answers. Really, I look at it as an entertainment experience, and as such you take the 'information' gleaned from it with a grain of salt.

No, just extremely stupid. It's all a psychological trick called cold reading. I wouldn't make important life decisions based on wild guesses.

Well, I guess, if it's considered 'witch craft', or 'black magic'...practicing it is outlawed by the Bible (and possibly other Holy Books, too).
That said, I don't take it seriously, at all. I think a good 'psychic' is simply a clever mentalist, in fancy clothes, with a giant glass ball sitting on a table, an overwhelming ability to deceive you, and an excuse to spend other people's money.
So; I guess, as long as you don't get overly 'involved' with it, it's completely up to you, whether you think it's a sin, or not.
...I mean; it could be fun, I guess; and things could get reeeaaally interesting, if they were to predict your death (or various other extremities), and you counter what they say...jus' don't 'block the energy'; they don't like that...

False Psychic they just want your money, true Psychic don't charge you, they help they are every where, around you, maybe a person sitting beside you... Sometimes we have people in our life that they can see more that we can, they have the 6 sense, why not listen to them instead of wasting your money.
