According to TakePart.com, state fair foods are reaching new levels of golden brown and delicious. From deep-fried butter to Kool-Aid, just about everything on the menu is getting the fried treatment. The days of corn dogs are certainly out, being replaced by more sought-after fare, emerging from the hot caldron of bubbly oil.

xxx 2012/07/31 07:27:00No+9Self control people. Self control. Take responsibility for yourself. That includes what you put in your mouth. You can't blame someone else if you've picked up a bottle of poison and drank it (mind you it's labelled in huge writing with a hazard sign). Same goes for food.

Signed, someone who ate two different deep-fried candy bars just to see how they tasted, along with a slice of pizza.
We KNOW it's bad for us, and it's up to US to get what WE want or ignore what WE don't want.
But that aside... who the hell would buy deep-fried BUTTER anyway? I'm curious to see if anyone would actually get THAT... the bacon, yeah, but butter??? Ugh..
That the "NO" response (402) is 59% to the "YES" response's (282) 41% (at this writing) tell me volumes about the OBESITY EPIDEMIC in this country.
Someone please tell me how a DEEP-FRIED STICK O" BUTTER ON A STICK (real State Fair food item) isn't "going too far?"
