Are you ashamed to have a good cry? You shouldn't be.
In a piece for the Huffington Post, Dr, Judith Orloff argues that not only are tears NOT a sign of weakness, they're actually good for you.
According to Orloff, tears lubricate your eyes, remove irritants, reduce stress hormones and contain antibodies that fight pathogenic microbes. They also stimulate the production of endorphins, our body's natural pain killer and "feel-good" hormones.
Who knew?
Our mom hated crying in public -- and so do we. We'd say we're more embarrassed to cry in front of other people than the average woman, for better or worse. Maybe we shouldn't be.
As for dudes, we were shocked when we saw our high school boyfriend cry for the first time -- our dad would NEVER do that. But now, we think it's sweet when our husband cries.

That exact day. As long as I can help it, I will never do so again.
Since that day, not a single tear has been shed by me. Not even when my grandfather died two months ago. Then again, I only knew him for about three years, so it was no big impact. Hah... Sounds harsh. but it's true. That's reality.
Gotta keep moving. No dog ever peed on a moving car.
>_> Seriously??? We need "specialists" to tell us crying is healthy? I thought everyone knew this? Releases stress...
If I'm with total strangers, I'm not ashamed of crying. If I'm with my friends, I'm not ashamed of crying. It's just that sometimes it's too personal, sometimes I just want to be alone,
but i dont see it as a weakness or anything its just showing your emotions although i would only do so in a private environment like at home in my room :)
