No, it is part of The Commonwealth of Nations. The UK is made up of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales.

No they are not. The United Kingdom is the name of a specific country with a single federal government in London, which includes the Island of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and a few islands near there. Both Canada and Australia have independent governments and have had them for over 100 years which independently run our affairs. We all happen to have the same monarch, who holds a ceremonial function as head of the various nations and is the face on our $20 bill. The organization that includes both Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom is the "Commonwealth of Nations", not the United Kingdom.

No ... only those nations of the British IslesLol...

However, we in OZ do hold allegience to the queen, and many nations form part of the British Commonwealth.

Hence we still hold the Commonwealth Games every 4 years

Yes. Canada is a federal constitutional monarchy with parliamentary democracy, but also an independent nation & is still a Commonwealth country under British rule. The Queen is head of state in Australia, but there is talk that when the Queen passes, Australia will break all ties with the Royal family. Although they are now independent of Great Britain, they are also part of the Commonwealth.

The UK and The Commonwealth of Nations are different. The UK is 4 countries (Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England)....At least I think it works like that...I'm like 95% sure it is though.

No, but I think they are both part of the Commonwealth of Nations. (I think that's why the Queen is still on their money).

It is a part of the Common Wealth. THE largest empire the world has ever known. However the queen doesn't really rule of any of them, instead she allows the members of the Common Wealth to run themselves. Thus not really an empire XD

Canada and Australia are members of the common wealth but not members of the UK.

Edit I'm from the UK. The constitutions of both Canada and Australia dictate they are not part of the United Kingdom. Which holds very few territories. Wales, Scotland, England, Northern Island, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey (I think) and the Falkland Islands and the Shetland Islands. The Faroe Islands are either Denmark or Greenland...

the Commonwealth is technically under the queen although she does not bother them but she still rules them so technically she is in charge of Canada Australia and 52 other countries so she is in charge of them

That's pretty much what I said XD But Canada, Australia and the UK have constitutions in place which mean that the queen is basically just a human stamp. (She hasn't ever rejected a bill of law to my knowledge)

Well I'm Canadian and I know for a fact that Canada separated from the United Kingdom A LONG time ago. We are pretty much just a tree hugging, syrup sucking Version of the U.S.

I don't know about Australia though. I don't think it is.

someone told me that people in Canada are probably like bring on global warming...but Ive never been to Canada.I know its cold in Scandinavia and Ive read those nations are into
the enviromentalist movement. I think Canada has good musicians.Ive read part of a novel
by a Canadian author but I really dont know much about Canada.I was in Buffalo, NY
visiting a Franciscan order n I saw Niagra Falls also from the Canadian side but other than that I have never been there.Id like to go to Canada though.

I'm not bragging or anything but I think Canada is an great place. I am proud to be Canadian. Too many people listen to stereotypes about Canada when in all honesty we are very similar to the u.s except for our accents and a few other small details :) you Should Go someday, I think you'd enjoy it!

Here in Texas we are starting to have to worry about wildfires but most Texans dont care
about the enviroment and global warming as I concur from my experience with people.Burn
bans and no fireworks laws are often in effect.

Oh that's too bad. The town where I live had a bunch of wildfires last year and We couldn't even light fires because it was so hot. It was really odd though, because where I live it isn't very humid but Last summer it was CRAZY.
